Liked: 1. Location is great, 2. there is a nice lounge in the lobby to hang out, 3. serve dinner 4. lots of touristy info available at the reception 5. 24-hr reception 6. very secure place 7. great value breakfast

Disliked: 1. Lock for lockers to be bought separately. BUT if you BRING YOUR OWN LOCK you will be fine 2. gotta pay for using the computers downstairs (pretty costy, like 5 euros for 1 hr) BUT wifi is free, SO make sure you BRING a laptop or a cell phone with you, and you will be fine

Liked: Great location near the centre, but also in a quiet spot. Felt very secure, with key-cards for entry and 24-hour reception. Was handy being able to book tickets at reception, and the staff were really helpful. Cosy bar, and awesome breakfast and dining area. Very smoothly-run facilities.

Disliked: Nothing. It's huge, and very busy (if that's not what you want) but like I said, it is very well-run and the facilites cater for large numbers so we were always helped and fed quickly :)

Liked: 1) The location in really great. (few blocks from top coffee shops, bars and clubs) 2) Cool place to meet new people (it is the biggest hostel in Ams) 3) Very good breakfast 4) Nice bar, and friendly bartender. 5) Clean and organized.

Disliked: 1) It has NO KITCHEN. Then it is not really for budget travelers.

Liked: Best breakfast, loads of options. Easy to get to from the airport - only one bus to catch. It's in Leidesplein so its where all the clubs (not red light district) is so that was a bonus. Don't forget a padlock. 20 bed room is quite separated, like a cubicle so its not too bad.

Disliked: Nothing really, you have to pay for electronic safes. Only one toilet though between 20. Receptionist wasn't too helpful with highlighting sights on the map.

Liked: NIce commom areas. Good bar and great breakfast (best ever in hostel). We stayed in a 8 person room, very spacious with 2 showers (with low pressure though). Warm rooms!

Disliked: I liked everything. Higly recommended.

Liked: Location is great and it is very secure. The shower and toilet within the dorm are great and the rooms are quite spacious.

Disliked: Very poor atmosphere - my friend and I were on 4th floor Block C and for most of our stay we didn't see other travelers. The common area was dead for most of our trip. Also, lots of older people (60+) were staying in the hostel which we found strange.

Liked: The location is great, and the breakfast buffet every morning was nice as well.

Disliked: Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, but there were a few who were quite rude towards us.

Liked: Super clean, quiet and comfy. Easy to find, modern and not pokey and small like so many of the stories I've heard about hostels in Amsterdam. Great breakfast and you could get any info you needed from the people at reception. While not in the centre of Amsterdam, it's within walking distance of the very centre and with trams its totally manageable. Right by the Van Gogh museum, Leidesplein (main area for nightlife) and the park so that was great. Loved it there!

Disliked: Had to pay for the lockers if we wanted to leave our bags at the hostel after checking out but otherwise no complaints!

Liked: The location is convenient just beside the park, with facilities for bikes. The room was perfect and very clean. An excellent value for money.

Liked: Clean & tidy rooms, great space downstairs if you're after drinks, food, socialising.

Disliked: Wireless internet signal doesn't reach rooms

Liked: The breakfast was good and had a good variety of food. The staff were friendly and nice and made my stay more comfortable. There were many people in the common area, hence, the atmosphere was vibrant, making it all the more a pleasant stay.

Disliked: I could not receive the WIFI signal in my room and hence needed to proceed downstairs to receive it.

Liked: The 6 bed dorm room was clean and comfortable. It was useful that it had seperate shower and toilet facilities within the private room. There was plenty of space and lockers available. The shared social area on the first level is also very comfortable and a good place to hang out.

Disliked: There was not anything I really disliked about Stayokay Vondelpark. It was a pleasant stay.

Liked: Would'nt bother looking for another Hostel again when I visit A/dam now that I have found this one. It is the best one I've stayed in - and I have stayed in lots of them over the years. It is about 12- 15 mins on a tram from Cenral Station + 5 mins walk from the Leidseplien stop to the Hostel doors. It is away from the noise of the Red light area and the churches that have bells which ring every 1/4 hour through the night.

Disliked: Nothing.

Disliked: Not much. Could do with a little more local character in decoration and atmosphere.

Liked: Excellent location, facing the charming Vondelpark and a 5-minute walk from Museumplein (Rijks, Van Gogh). Correct breakfast, fairly comfortable beds and welcoming atmosphere.

Disliked: The smell in the halls, the price of internet use, but nothing else if you're lucky enough to have good roommates.

Liked: Excellent free breakfast, nice big room and big common areas

Disliked: I booked a 6 person dorm and was put in a massive one (at least 12 beds) without explanation or refund

Liked: The thing I like the most about this hostel is the beautiful old style building block where I stayed. The dorm was big and although there were many people in it, the lay out of the bed gave everyone sufficient privacy and space. The view of the park was amazing.

Disliked: the stairs to reach my room! :) there is a lift but you are kindly asked not to use it in certain hours as it is used by the house keeping staff.
