Liked: Their bike rental service is great and cheaper than competitors. Ask about it at the desk.

Disliked: This hostel has no character at all and is terrible for meeting people. I was put with a family of five (in my six bed dorm) on my last night. The staff is also quite slow; there is often a line at reception and there are only six computers for hundreds of guests -- at least one of which was broken the entire week I was there. There is no wait limit, so it could often be at least half an hour or an hour before getting access to one. The location is poor if you have no bike.

Liked: Very proffessional, helpful and friendly, amazing location (next to Vondelpark), rooms clean, Cheap beer.

Disliked: More variety with breakfast (maybe some scrambled egg), bar open for longer, cost of losing bicycle too expensive, internet pricey.

Liked: The breakfast was really good. The staff was friendly and helpful with all of our questions. It seemed like a good place to meet people, although everyone was pretty young (like 18-19) and we weren't really looking to meet people since we were only there for a night. They had coupon things for free stuff, but most of it was pretty useless unless you spent money on something else.

Disliked: The internet is outrageously priced. We were under the impression that internet was free. It's like 3 euro for 15 minutes, or something like that. Also, towels are 3 euro each. The place is down a really long alley, and I never felt completely safe walking all the way down it, especially at night. The closet/cubby things in the rooms are really narrow, so if you're a backpacker, chances are you stuff won't fit in them. They have bigger lockers downstairs, but then you run into the problem of having to go downstairs whenever you need something out of your bag. All in all, this place was decent and I could see it being fun, but it's severely overpriced. You might as well look into some hotels closer to the downtown area.

Liked: plenty of lockers to store bags. good security. not too much atmosphere but made up for by the convinient location and prettiness of the park.

Disliked: the staff were a bit brief with us when we asked questions and the breakfast cue was so long we had to line up for about 30mins in the morning.

Liked: The hostel is in a great location and within walking distance to most attractions, this along with being the best hostel I have stayed in to date!

Disliked: I can honestly say I could not find one thing wrong with this hostel.

Disliked: Looked a bit rough, and to me it was too big and i missed the closeliness of the staff. It was more like a hotel than an actual hostal...

Liked: Very clean, with a great free breakfast. Nice location, right by the park and the less touristy spots of Amsterdam.

Disliked: It would have been nice to have soap at the sinks in the rooms.

Liked: Good location, my room had it's own bathroom, good breakfast (although only until 10).

Disliked: Wi-fi is charged the same price as the computer internet access, wi-fi avilable only in the reception, showers in the rooms are dirty, staff EXTREMELY rude and careless, couldn't be worse - our friend had a medical emergency and the lady in the front desk asked me to wait in line to be assisted even though I said it was an emergency, no patience whatsoever.

Liked: The cleanliness, the quiet/drug-/alcohol-free environment, just next to Vondelpark, Lindsplein, museum area and tram.

Disliked: PC/internet acess was a bit too expensive.
