Liked: The best hostel i have ever stayed in ... Exellent breakfast!! Very clean bathrooms, clean rooms, it was very safe and secure. Location is great, it's within 10 minutes walking from the center.. I would recommend a free walking tour and you must ask for Julian(tour guide), he is so funny and full of knowledge.The staff is very nice.

Liked: It was a safe and well located property to access most of the city. It was a bit far from the red light district if you are interested more in that.

Disliked: It was a fine property, there was just nothing very special about it and the rooms themselves could have used a little more cleaning.

Liked: The breakfast was very good. Location was very good, next to Vondelpark and within a 10 minute walk to Dam Square. Rooms were nice and clean and comfy beds!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The location is great, not too far from anything, close access to trams. Breakfast was nice enough, nothing too exotic but good for what it was.

Disliked: For whatever reason, there seemed to be an excessive amount (as in the majority of people we saw at the hostel) of young teenagers or preteens (age's appeared 12-16) at the hostel or hanging around it. It seems like it's located next to some sort of school and that the hostel might have a deal with the school to allow the students to use their facilities. This was seriously disappointing, as we we hoping to encounter fellow travelers reasonably close to ourselves in age. To be frank it felt like we were staying at a middle school.

Liked: It was clean

Disliked: It was over-priced for what was offered. The fact that we had to make the (bunk) beds ourselves & then fork out further money for towels was ridiculous.The room was small (2m wide) and uncomfortable. It was also cold. The heater came on automatically very in the morning however the water filling up the pipes made such a loud noice that we had to turn it off. The extraction fan in the shower-room also made noise constantly even when the light automatically turned off. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable and overall the stay was not at all relaxing.

Liked: The location is fantastic (literally at the mouth of Vondelpark). The free breakfast was exactly what we needed (fruit, yogurt, granola, etc). There were great people in our room.

Disliked: They charge 3 EUR an HOUR for internet! How is that okay?? There was also exactly 1 outlet in the entire room and it was by the bathroom sink. 1 outlet?! The front desk staff were not very helpful when it came to providing instructions on taking the bus to the airport (gave wrong price for the fare and weren't even sure where the bus stop was located). There were tons of school groups so it was loud but only during the day so that's a minor complaint. Major complaints: uninformed staff. astronomical internet charges. no outlets.

Liked: Good place to meet new people.

Disliked: Parking is problem if you go by car. But they offer you a distant place at 6 €/day where you can go & come by tram or bus with 1 free ticket. So don't forget your stuff in the car :)

Liked: The location was good, as it was inside the Park, and there were markets and other services close.

Disliked: Internet acces was very expensive. To acces internet you had to get this card, but it always had problems, and you ended up loosing time. Also, internet was slow, so you also loose time with it. I chose to stay in a mixed bedroom, as it was cheaper, but I thought there would be more girls. Of the 10 people in the bedroom, I was the only girl, and it made de guys, and myself, feel unconfurtable, specially 'cause some of them didn't know it was mixed.

Liked: You felt safe and secure. It was a bog-standard hostel room but it's one of the better hostels I've ever stayed in.

Disliked: The staff were either lovely, such as the bar staff, or incredibly rude (the cleaners in particular and occasionally the staff at reception were blunt and unhelpful).

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location for visting the museums and the galleries.

Disliked: No towels.

Liked: Nothing comes to mind.

Disliked: No where to relax and watch tv or play board games, something that doesn't cost any money to do would be nice. The lounge area was more like a reception area with no atmosphere. I will not be back to amsterdam or this hostel chain.

Liked: i think the hostel was very nice, the rooms were very clean and the staff was helpful.also the location of the hostel was nice becasue it is exactly near the vondelpark which is green full of oxigen:)

Disliked: the entrance time to the rooms is 14.30 which is too late and the check out time is 10.30 which is too early.

Liked: Went in a 4 bed private room for 2 nights so didn't really get a chance to / attempt to meet any people. That said, the common areas and kitchen at breakfast were generally full of very quiet people! Decent facilities and price for amsterdam but expensive compared to other european cities

Disliked: Not much character or interaction between guests

Liked: It was too expensive in relation to what was offered, we paid 34,5 per pax in a 6 beds dormroom. The hall of the room smelled terrible and the whole environment is quite unpersonal. But it has a great location to go to the uit markt and museums.

Disliked: catarina left no negative feedback.

Liked: proximity to places of interest

Disliked: The staff has a horrible attitude. If you want to ask a question, you might as well pray to your higher power, because they can't or won't answer it. No maps available either. Also, the internet prices are an OUTRAGE.
