Liked: nothing much meeting a fellow japanese traveller....

Disliked: 1 - the shower took more than 5mins to warm up... 2 - the place is dirty - with rubbish strewn all over the place.... 3 - staff did not help with booking of tours

Liked: The location was fantastic, very friendly staff, the orange couches and the vending machines were awesome! The beds were firm and comfortable, and the sheets were a very colorful, pretty stripe! Free breakfast was okay!

Disliked: The bathrooms needed to be cleaned, and there were too many stairs!

Liked: Good, no thrills hostel. Better than most of Amsterdam's, and the location is central.

Liked: Fantastically located in the heart of the city - only 5 minutes to most of the main attractions. Staff were fantastic and went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out.

Disliked: Bathrooms could get a little grotty at times...

Liked: The location is excellent, nice rooms, staff was ok, nice breakfast. Stayed for four nights, First and second day staff very friendly, helpful and nice. last day as well. They accept credit cards, but till the reception is on. During nightime, from midnight on, no credit card and just one person in a nightwatch.

Disliked: Showers and toilets were shared, and were cleaned I guess once a day, too little cleaning for too many guests. No free Wi-Fi, and the beds didnt have like individual lamps, and also the lights in the dorm I stayed in some were dead, just one worked fine. Locker system is good, but they could be more reasonable about the assignment of lockers and the policy of cutting lockers from those who pick the wrong one. They are just lockers, no need for such strictness about it. Some of the staff were like in a bad mood somedays. I stayed in for four nights.

Liked: Very friendly staff and excellent location!

Disliked: Hmm.. I suppose a cheaper price, but I got what I paid for and it was all around worth it!

Liked: The fact that the area with lockers was separate to the dorm area. This meant that you were able to come in later at night and disturb people less.

Disliked: There were few plugs in the actual dorm only in the locker area.

Liked: The most I'd liked the awesome location! It is like middle in the center but still quiet and relaxed. 5 to 10 min walk and you are everywhere you want to be.Aswell the 20 bed dorms are lovely to sleep in- nicely seperated!

Disliked: The bathrooms and especially the showers was pretty dirty. Kind of disgusting!

Liked: It is really nice, lots of showers and toilets, big rooms, big lounge. EXCELLENT!!!

Disliked: It could be a little cheaper... And not everbody in the staff was ready to help the travellers. Once I had to wait for one employee when there was someone else there. I think that at a hostel, all employees behind the desk should be able to help us or at leqst answer our questions. I understand hostels are informal, but even though. Anyway, this did not disturb me at all, it is just a suggestion for the hostel to improve.

Liked: Good location, not too far from Red Light District but not too close either! Breakfast included in the price was fine, regular hostel fare.

Disliked: Bathrooms were not cleaned regularly, there was a lot of hair about - could have definitely been worse but this is the main negative I remember.

Liked: The location was fantasic for all local attractions, the atmosphere was brillant and felt a safe enviroment.

Disliked: The breakfast was a little basic but we wasn't too bothered about that as that's what we thought we would get with it being a hostel.

Liked: Just in the centre, close to Red Light and just by a canal. Great place for a backpacker who just want a bed for the night, as it's simple but cheap. BIG lockers outside the room.

Disliked: Breakfast wasn't too impressive, but you can't expect much more when it's included in the price at a place like this.

Liked: The staff was realy good explaning everything when we came to the hostel. The condicions of a 16 bed dorm were good too. No noise. Nice free breakfast too with expresso for free. nice bathroom.

Disliked: Don't have bar. They give us the bed sheets and we need to do the rest to the bed.

Liked: the staff were very helpful and spoke good english. location was pretty good, in between dam square and lightsplein, right next to quite a main street with a good amount of shops on. within walking distance of everything, no need for public transport.

Disliked: it was not a good place to meet people to go out with. most people are in big groups that have come for stag parties and stuff like that so dont really wanna get other people involved. the beds were not great, wierd texture and quite hard to sleep on. the lockers were outside of the rooms so was annoying to have to go outside everytime you wanted to get something from there and have to use your key card to get back in.
