Liked: nice vibe, clean, has lockers in rooms close to everything.. its a confortable place.

Disliked: charging 3.50euro for a towel the size of a hankercheif.. charging to use lockers.. just taking the piss out of travellers a bit. felt like i was in a coca cola factory where i had to buy Stayokay branded keyrings next!

Liked: Easy to access most places from the location, free wi-fi.

Disliked: Extremely noisy at night. Do not get the room with 20 people it is impossible to sleep. The staff was not friendly and seemed to resent their job and the people staying in the hostel. No plugs in the rooms and co-ed bathrooms

Liked: easy walking distance to all major attractions

Disliked: the bathrooms were a little gross, the tiles were pretty moldy and could have used some oxyclean or something. The downstairs toilets were washed regularly and were clean so we just ended up using them.

Liked: Great location, good breakfast.

Disliked: Lockers were outside the sleeping room and bathroom was on different floor. No common room space to chill out and meet new people.

Disliked: I think they could use another space for a chill out area away from reception. Where you can meet people.

Liked: Definitely the location !

Disliked: Staff was not friendly at all, they just want to make money on your back. I would recommend an air bag for sleeping time. It is much better to avoid diseases

Liked: Big lockers provided outside rooms. Decent breakfast. Very good location.

Disliked: With so many people around, it can get loud at times during the night. 16 people in rooms alot.

Liked: it was clean, they had big lockers

Disliked: be prepared for the possibility of climbing numerous flights of stairs (about eight), and the fact that there is no kitchen or place to prepare your food in general, a few of the staff seemed a bit oblivious to the fact that they were working in a youth hostel and not in the basement office of an insurance company. note: if you are coming to amsterdam to smoke, there is no smoking room in this hostel.

Liked: Super clean, staff very helpful and close to central Amsterdam. Worth the money. Great place to stay. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Liked: Location - Close to the city centre and lots of shops and restaurants and only 5 minute tram from Centraal Station

Liked: The bed was comfortable and the sheets were beautifully clean and ironed.

Disliked: This is the only hostel of StayOkay in Amsterdam which does not have a bar and the breakfast was always the same, for a longer period of stay it is quite boring.

Liked: Lovely helpful staff, Great Breakfast, Very clean and well located (within walking distance to all the sights but not in a rough/noisy area)

Disliked: No social area, fairly clinical and characterless rooms, prices on the brink of expensive for anyone travelling on a budget

Liked: I liked that the the sheets and floor were really clean the first day we arrived. The sheets are in individual separated plastic bags for hygiene. I liked the fact that breakfast was included in the price and it was rather good and the dining-room was very clean as well.

Disliked: I didn´t like the fact that there weren´t any plugs available within my dormitory, so if you need to charge your mobile you need to stay in a common room just next to the dormitory where the lockers are located. I didn´t like that showers were fixed on the wall. It is true that they were acceptably clean, but in my opinion the space provided to have a shower and leave your things was too small and uncomfortable.

Liked: the location is very good, in a very beautiful and near the center. the wifi was good, even in the room. Good lockers. Big bathrooms.

Disliked: just 2 sockets in a room with 12 beds.

Liked: The location was great! Close distance to all the sights.

Disliked: The bed sheets did not look very clean and the toilets did not always have toilet paper.

Liked: The staff where all very pleasant the place was extremely clean ,safe and secure . This was my first time ever staying in a hostel and i was a little concerned thinking it could be loud and hard to get to sleep but it was quiet and every other guest was very respectful of each other privacy . When i go back to Amsterdam i will definitely stay at the Stayokay Stadsdoelen again . One last thing i for got to mention is the location is fantastic and so close to everything but yet the street was so quiet and not full of clubs or rowdy drunks .

Disliked: I honestly cant fault anything about my stay .
