the location was excellent, the security at the door and the nice rooms it was really fantastic to stay in the bulldog nothing was bad!!!!! just the phone to call to belgium was very expensive

Funky hostel but it was more like a hotel....fantastic location if you are interested in checking out the red light district!!

the bar area is massive and pretty cool, staff are cool, roof is cool the rooms are sooooooooo nice and it's right in the middle of the red light district which is great. go here.

We loved the friendly atmosphere...really great to have 2 coffee shops and a lounge right by. It felt really safe and cozy! It was a really great location in the heart of Amsterdam...easy to get around by foot or bike. It was the best time...we want to come back again sometime soon!

5 Star Hostel is a understatement. will be going back for sure!
I've stayed in Amsterdam well over 20 times and the Bulldog kicks the ass of any hotel I've stayed in.
A STAY IN THE BULLDOG IS A MUST!

Right in the middle of the red light district, you can get high in the lobby and their restaurant/bar which serves some great heineken. Plenty of people hanging out latenight when the coffeeshops close.

Security...you have to show your pass 2 separate times to get into the hostel/cafe. No one off the street can come hang out, which make is much more safe and secure. The breakfast is nice, but nothing fancy. We stayed in a room that had the bathroom and shower in the room itself...that was great to not have to make the trip w/ all the stuff down the hall to bathe! The hostel and the rooms were very clean!
