 A great place to sleep, not far away of the center and central station. Small rooms in a ship, but very clean. Always hot water. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.

The greeting from the crew on arrival was friendly warm and very informative and helpful. The room was small but warm and cozy. The whole vessel was very clean. The location is great within walking distance of centraal station, Damrak and the famous Red Light District. The location enables you to get quickly to all attractions and public transport while the Friesland is very calm and relaxing place to retire to at the end of a busy fun filled day. Special thanks to John for a great time on board the. Friesland.

Lots of fun staying on a boat. Owners were great, very chilled and relaxed. Might be worthwhile to check your key for the front door works before heading out for the night, other than that a wonderful friendly place to stay.

First place i stayed in amsterdam, staff was excellant, even let us help our selfs to the bar when no staff was in !!! 'just leave the money in the box' the manager said. excellant rooms, very clean and you even get free breakfast thrown in... all for 20 euros. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and deffinatly will visit again. very close to central station, very nice view from the roof of boat, and from your room if you are on the lucky side of dock (we were ;) ,
quiet place (we didn't heard train at all while you can saw them)
and very welcoming staff

Nice view from the bar room, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean despite being a boat. A good place for those who wish to explore Amsterdam till late and then have a little rest on a cosy, quiet boat. No barracks-like noises, echoes and grunts, plus very safe.

The Friesland Botel is a beautiful place to stay with a very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and very comfortable bunks. Amazing value for money - I rate it highly!
