Liked: the welcome of the hotel is very friendly! and sleeping on a boat is great!

Disliked: rooms are very small, but we are on a boat, so it is normal!!!

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Good location that was an easy walk from the main train station or to the city centre. Was expecting being on a boat to be a bit cold but it was not. Price was very reasonable.

Disliked: Wi-fi worked but was quite slow. But slow wi-fi is still much better than no wi-fi, so overall we were still very happy with our stay.

Liked: The boat is situated at the dock so every night when you sleep you could clearly hear the sound of waves. eventhough its winter but the heater works wonderful. It is also located very near to Nemo Museum and other city's attractions. The cabin was well made you feel like you are really traveling in a boat but with perfect comfirt and security. The free breakfast is very very delicious as well. We like the boat owner he was very friendly and helpful to us. Me and friend would love to recommend the boat stay to anyone who's looking forward to a trip with a cheap stay to amsterdam!

Liked: I stayed here for two nights with my husband. It was really nice and cosy, there was a sitting area upstairs. We were offered breakfast which was very tasty. Great value for money!!

Disliked: the rooms are quite small and the walls are thin....

Liked: When we arrived at the property we found out that they had overbooked, but that we had been booked into a different room, which was larger and had an ensuite bathroom, for no extra cost. Everyone involved was very friendly and we had no hassles at all with our stay. Tasty, large breakfast, too.

Liked: Super-friendly staff made us feel very welcome on this beautiful boat! Very comfy beds, and although the rooms were small they were perfect. Really quiet location, and the honesty bar was great to have a couple of beers before hitting the hay each night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great value room in a great location. Friesland is very close to the library which serves cheap and excellent freshly prepared Italian food, which I would also highly recommend.

Liked: It was cheap, safe, clean and close to the train station! Despite being a boat hotel the rooms were warm, the free breakfast is very good and the staff are very helpful with questions about Amsterdam

Liked: I really enjoyed staying on a boat in Amsterdam. Makes the trip special and unique. The owner of the boat was very helpful, told us which place is woth to bee seen. The good price offer includes good and luxurious breakfast.

Disliked: Unfortunately it's very tiny ( what would you expect on a boat?). Besides it's clairaudient as well.

Liked: My english is not very good, so : - l'emplacement de la péniche : dans le port d'Amsterdam, proche de la gare centrale et du centre ville - le petit déjeuner trés copieux ! - la sympathie de l'équipage - le rapport qualité/prix : je ne m'attendais pas du tout à ce confort ! - Pas de couvre feu, douche gratuite...

Liked: It was a boat!! It was also good to have the map explain to us and key places like supermarkets etc pointed out. And breakfast was amazing!!!

Disliked: It was small and a bit cramped, but its a boat, you cant really expect much else.

Liked: cheap and something different. friendly staff.

Disliked: not much room to put your luggage anywhere or even sit up in bed, there are better boats around... hallway smells like mold, room was ok though.

Liked: Its very fun to stay on the boat. Good points: Cheap, great hot water in the showers, rooms have heaters you can control, decent breakfast and laid back staff.

Disliked: Its a little walk away from the main areas of the city, I think in summer you wouldn't even notice it, but in winter every extra 100 metres really counts.

Liked: Breakfast, staff, cheap compared to other places in Amsterdam, 1,50 euro Heinikens which is pretty much as cheap as buying from a supermarket, nice common area

Disliked: bathrooms smelled a bit funky, rooms were a bit cramped, but its a boat hostel, what do you expect?

Liked: I loved the atmosphere and the location of the hostel. When i travel to amsterdam again i will choose Friesland:P

Disliked: The rooms was a little narrow, but it can work if u try:)

Liked: It was very clean and hygenic.Also it has central heating

Disliked: on the website it says friesland is 10 minutes walk from Amsterdam central station.I would say its more like 20 minutes walk
