Liked: The man who owned the boat was very nice and helpful.

Liked: first i must say that the guy was very friendly. honestly, when I was booking the hostel, I didn't realize that it was a hostel on motor-barge:) coz i was in a hurry. but it was so cool. it will be very different experience for you!

Disliked: for me there was nothing to dislike. but if you want to meet new people on boat, maybe it will not be so easy

Liked: It's a boat!!! What a fantastic location! Friendly staff and overall a really fun hostel

Disliked: V. small rooms (but then it's a boat, what do you expect), showers a bit smelly but not that bad

Liked: Great location, staying on a boat was an unique experience and the breakfast was satisfactory. The bar on board was also comfortable and liberal.

Disliked: The rooms are really tiny, so if you are taller than 2 meters you probably wouldn't be able to stand up or sleep there. But to me it wasn't a problem though. :)

Liked: The captain was helpful, friendly and multilangual (English, german and dutch). The breakfast was plenty and good. The boat is a stylish way of living in Amsterdam!

Disliked: You can hear the neighbors quiet well, but if you are prepared ("Ohropacks") it is no problem.

Liked: Liked the quirkiness of the barge, had lots of character. Lots of choice at breakfast. Surprisingly warm for a boat.

Disliked: Found it difficult to find the property. Rooms a bit small. Toilets very smelly.

Liked: What I liked the most was the staff, John was "AWESOME" he really enjoys what he does, thats important. Its got great character, the location is good, its 10 mins. from the train station and from the train station everything AMSTERDAM is about 10 mins away. we used the trams alot. A 24 hr pass is only 7 euros, we used it to get everywhere, saved our feet from alot of walking. p.s don't waste your time on the buses. use the trams... and if your up for an adventure, just jump on any tram in any direction:) if you want to head back to the boat, just find a tram headed back to the train station which is Centraal Station.

Disliked: The bathroom area kinda smells bad, BUT I bought with me a stick-up disk airfreshener and stuck one in our room and in one of the bathrooms which I only used each time:)

Liked: It was good value, and a bit of an experience to stay on a boat. the guy running it was really friendly.

Disliked: It isn't exactly quiet, especially if people are staying up drinking etc, but that's to be expected as it such a compact space.

Liked: Met on board by Sean. Very friendly guy. Took a map out for us and showed us where all points of interest were. Rooms very clean. Far more spacious than some reviews suggest, there were six of us all around the 6 foot mark and whilst the beds were narrower than a regular single, there was plenty room to stretch out lengthwise. Breakfast was excellent. Came back late one night and took advantage of the honesty bar. Were up late for a couple hours but no hassles. Showers and bathrooms impeccably clean. Excellent experience.

Disliked: There was a slight smell but it is a boat and unavoidable. Within 15 - 20 seconds of being on board you no longer notice it.

Disliked: Rooms were exceptionally small but for the price it is worth putting up with. Beds were comfortable.

Liked: Living in a boat hostel is a quite different experience. The staff is very kind.

Disliked: It's weird that all other customers are in pair......and i left too early, didn't have the breakfast, don't know how is it. Actually the room is just a cabin, so no much room, but it can be imagined.

Liked: Fantastic location, just 10 minutes from Central Station. The rooms were slightly bigger than I had expected. Breakfast was basic but good.

Disliked: The downstairs smelt a bit of drains and no hot drinks were offered during the day (although you could get some from the Nemo museum - less than a minute walk away)

Liked: I loved my stay here. John and Roy were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. The 24 hour bar and honesty box was brilliant. The boat is very clean. The rooms are nice. The location is brilliant so easy to find. I would definatly go back.

Disliked: I disliked leaving!

Liked: Pretty and unusual accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, great views, convenient location. Perfect for travelers, who aren't looking for any luxury, but for comfortable atmosphere.

Liked: The boat was brilliant a real great place to stay and meet people. Roy was so helpful giving advice and all the extra info you wouldn't normally expect. The cabins were small but comfy and nice and warm even in February! The loos and showers were clean and a hearty continental breakfast was served each morning. I would recomend staying here to everyone - we had a great time!

Disliked: nothing it was great

Liked: The location is great, better if you rent a bike! No curfew and wireless internet connection.

Disliked: The room is really small. With 2 people in room, one have to be in bed in order both fit there. The breakfast starts too late (8:30am).
