Liked: The guy in charge, Roy, was really helpful. When we arrived he gave us a map and then showed us how to get to all the sights of Amsterdam. The breakfast is good with variety of breads and cereals. Great location and awesome value for money.

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Novelty of staying on a boat; excellent breakfast included; affordable

Disliked: No soap or towels in the rooms; no soap by the bathrooms; cannot shower after a certain time at night; staff seemed bored and disinterested

Liked: Perfect location - close enough to the centre but far enough from the busy nightlife

Disliked: The shower was somehow a bit - 'funky' ... Could do with a shower curtain which isn't mouldy and a shower room that stinks a bit less. Bring shorts and slippers if you're very particular about showers so you can change into fresh clothes a bit easier, or a bath towel would be perfect.

Liked: Its a boat, the staff were helpful and the rooms although small were comfy

Liked: I've never lived on boat before, so it was very interesting experience!

Disliked: Nothing! It is a little bit tight in the cabins, but it's not a problem!

Liked: The atmosphere of the boat (nice social area); Good breakfast; Friendliness of the owner.

Disliked: Bare in mind that you´re staying in a boat: rooms are really small, with no private bathrooms and, despite the efforts of the management, it´s impossible to have silence during the night, because the walls are really thin (and in wood). When people walk on the corridors and in the upper floor, you listen everything. The location seems central but it is 1.0 km from the central station. It´s probably better to rent a bike than walking around everyday.

Liked: The location was great and the green Nemo Museum right behind the boat was a great landmark for us...we never got too lost. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast filled us for the day.

Disliked: The rooms are beyond small (but what can you expect on a boat) and the showers smell kind of funky...but they're clean and so are the toilets. For the price, we got what we thought plus friendly staff.

Liked: Great breakfast.

Disliked: A stagnant pool of water in the shower. Nuke it with shampoo to make sure it's dead. Rusty nails sticking out of the wall in a toilet.

Liked: This is the second time we have stayed on the Amiticia (then Friesland) and we would definitely stay there again. It's in a great location - close enough to the centre of Amsterdam to get around but also just far enough away from all the noise if you want a good nights sleep! The sleeping arrangements are bunk beds but you're staying on a boat so you have to expect that. Very good value for money too - the same week in a hotel in the centre of Amsterdam would have cost us double to what we paid to stay here. Would definitely stay here again & would certainly recommend it to others! Excellent!!

Liked: Novelty of being on a boat, cleanliness, friendly staff, breakfast service.

Disliked: small rooms, small bunks, not good for couples.

Liked: Roy. The owner was awesome! As soon as we arrived he made us feel right at home. He gave us maps, talked us through the city and gave us useful tips and hints! The boat had lots of character and the breakfast set us up for the day :)

Disliked: There was nothing to dislike, apart from The rainy weather !

Liked: Breakfast was really good and more than enough. It is located in the city centre, you can go everywhere on foot. It was also clean and safe.

Disliked: The walls were a bit thin, you could hear even the whispers, but this is a boat, it's normal.

Liked: First time sleeping on a boat, would recommend to anyone! Great experience friendly and helpful owner, great breakfast and facilities.

Disliked: Cabin extremely small but your on a small boat so it's expected. I found it very cosy.

Liked: Jättemysigt boende på perfekt läge ca 15 min promenad från centrala Amsterdam och järnvägsstationen! Bra, rejäl frukost, serviceintriktad personal och väldigt mýcket valuta för pengarna. Små men bekväma sängar. Att det är trångt i hytterna hade vi räknat med men mitt resesällskap som är 1,97 cm lång slog hela tiden i brandvarnaren i taket!!! Det enda som var minus var duscharna som inte var så fräscha men ska man bara stanna några nätter så är detta ett mindre problem. Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta annorlunda och prisvärda boende!!!!

Liked: The breakfast buffet in the morning is very good and filling, with a wide variety of food including meats, cheeses, fruits, cereal, bread, etc.

Disliked: The bathrooms and showers are small (but it is a boat after all)

Liked: Friendly staff, great location, makes a good change from hostels or hotels to experience staying on a boat. Lovely views out of the port hole windows across the city. Breakfast was very good too!

Disliked: Hardly any room to move around in the room but is expected if you are staying on a boat. Also advertised as a double room but was bunk beds.

Liked: I would recommend the AmicitiA to everyone! It was great and the captain was very helpful and funny. The toilets were maybe a bit small, but you should remember that you stay on a boat! The breakfast buffet is great!

Disliked: There was nothing to criticize.

Liked: It's an experience staying on a boat! The staff were very helpful, very clean and tidy, breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Enjoyed every minute of my stay!

Disliked: For those expecting to share a bed (couples etc) please be aware that it is a bunk bed situation and rooms are quite small, seeing as this is a boat! The walls are very thin, so noise is loud but again, this is a boat so it's to be expected.
