Liked: Great location, friendly owners, great for nightlife and afterclub/pub chilling.

Disliked: Steps were steep, but that's Amsterdam for you - it hardly counts as a dislike but for some reason I have to enter one.

Liked: it was in a great location .. very friendly the owner and it has got a beautiful view

Disliked: the stairs are a little dangerous and there were some bugs

Liked: I really like the apartment. The best is location.

Disliked: I had some problems with Internet there. On iphone it was almost impossible to be connected via WIFI.

Liked: Brilliant location for city centre & safe. Really friendly and personal staff, apartment was clean and comfy with everything you need. People have commented about the stairs (and yes they were the steepest I have ever seen!) however this just added to charm of the Amsterdam houses.

Liked: It's very well located, there is enough space for 4 people with some bags, the staff was reaaly nice to us. Everyhting was good.

Disliked: The stairs are really Vertical and narrow. But nothing you can't deal with.

Liked: Fantastic location - two minutes from Central Station and the Red Light District, we walked everywhere. Really friendly and kind owner. Highly recommended.

Disliked: One of the minor windows is a bit faulty, but this isn't a problem.

Liked: We found Maya to be very friendly and helpful (despite what other people seem to have written) and the studio was clean with full facilities. It is in a good location with not too far to walk to get anywhere in Amsterdam. The stairs were very steep but we thought that added to the character - be careful if you've had too many drinks before attempting to climb them! Would recommend The Flying Monkey to friends.

Disliked: The bathroom light didn't work.

Liked: Never more than 10-15mins from anywhere in the city centre. Maya left us a football to have a kick about and doesn't mind smoking in the flat. There's a selection of bongs, grinders, etc., and we were even left with some coffee and a few other bits and pieces which made moving in a lot easier. So nice to be able to unpack with a joint and a coffee straight away!! Beds and sofa-beds were quite comfy and the flat is nice enough to chill in if its raining or whatever, and there's a decent TV. You won't really be spending a lot of time in the flat to be honest, but its a nice enough place to come back to after a heavy day/night in town!

Disliked: The stairs!!! They're such an effort, especially when you've been out drinking/smoking.

Liked: the location is really nice it is just few minutes from the main train station

Disliked: - the stairs were bad if you have a big bag you can forget about getting it up the stairs. - the staff was bad really bad never smile never offered us any help and gave us no information when we asked about the city we were told there is a map on the corner( which was old and used I suppose some other travellers have left it before) go and see for yourself - the place was falling a part like the beds were noisy the windows were leaking when it starts to rain

Liked: great appartment, plenty of room for all beds bags etc. great attmosphere, very relaxing and cosy. close to almost everything you need or want. modern and clean in all areas. the first time you see the view will deffinately get you excited for the stay ahead! thumbs up! ps, able to sample 'local cuisine' in appartment. good to chill out in if you dont want to be out too late.

Disliked: pretty much nothing. stairs are hard (especially stoned!) but get used to them and only go up and down once or twice a day!

Liked: the a/c works very wellgreat location

Disliked: The owner/manager Maya. she isnt helpful with anything. there are 100hostels on the same street. go to another hostel also with a great location so u wont have to deal with MAya's highschool loser personality

Liked: nice and spacious, clean and tidy! in a good location right by central station.

Disliked: no lift and very narrow staircase!! found it very difficult to carry bags up stairs, so avoid bringing big heavy luggage!! also prevented me and my friends from having heavy drinking night outs.... think it would've been almost impossible to get up the stairs in a drunken state without injury.

Liked: we were 4 guys in this apartmentgreat place to say in the dam. it was nice and fun to stay and sleep in. close to everywhere...

Disliked: the stairs were horrible but thats normal for holland. one of the main lights in the room didnt work so the apartment was very dark at night

Liked: the toilet because it was the onlly thing that worked properly.

Disliked: the noise outside, the stairs you had to climb to get to your room, the shower always went hot and cold and to say it slept four people this isnt good for personal space as it was all one room.

Liked: The room was bright and clean and had everything you'd want from a self-catering apartment, even a washing machine! The location was absolutely fantastic - very close to the centre and the red light district yet nice and quiet. Maya is very friendly.

Disliked: Same as everyone else - the stairs! Very steep but you get used to them.
