Liked: Fantastic location! Easy to find. Beds were really nice with lovely duvets. Towels provided. Nice lockers. Clean and relatively quiet.

Disliked: No real common area to hang out. If you want to use your laptop, you have to do so in the lobby and the wifi is hit and miss. Also, they're undergoing a lot of construction so you wake up around 8am to pounding and drills.

Liked: I highly recommend this place for anyone backpacking. The location is great, right in central Amsterdam, close to all the tourist attractions. The inside is very modern and the bedrooms and bathrooms were cleaned everyday which was brilliant.

Disliked: It is a little hard to find the first time if you are coming from the train station, but that's mainly because the street signs are a bit whack!

Liked: I stayed there with 7 Friends and we all enjoyed the stay really much, because the hostel was so Central!When we came in we were surprised how nice the location looked like! Also the room was very clean and exciting, because of its unic appearance (Clockwork Orange was the theme). Also it was very quiet up there and we felt very safety! Everyone was surprised how comfortable it was to lay on the beds there, which also were clean and big enough!

Disliked: The shower looked quiet bad, because it was a bit dirty.

Liked: it is beside or in the red light district. but the hostel is nice, meet really nice people there.

Disliked: no really a safe place cause it is beside the red light district but things has pro and cons. a lot of pimp and people trying to sell drugs to you.

Liked: Awesome location right in the red light district with walking distance to all tourist attractions

Liked: Aside from the minor novelty of the movie themed rooms, the only other real highlight was the shelf in each bunk bed. This had a light and power point built in so was very convenient. Oh also free linen and towel was nice.

Disliked: The shared bathroom was awful. It stank even after cleaning and there was a thick layer of mould all over the shower walls. They clearly had not been cleaned in months. Also, there is no elevator, and the stairs are typical of Dutch buildings - skinny and steep. Getting to your 3rd or 4th floor room (and back out again) is a nightmare, especially with luggage. This is a hostel up to the standard of 10 years ago, but now travellers know they can expect cleanliness and functionality for their money, so the Heart of Amsterdam failed there.

Liked: The rooms are nice. You have your own reading light and plug. The location is perfect if you're looking to party in the Red Light District. Really good hostel. I would recommend it.

Disliked: The Breakfast is not included in the rate.

Liked: The Location was fantastic!!! Close to almost everything a traveller would want and/or need in Amsterdam

Disliked: The bathroom was very dirty and had cob webs everywhere despite apparently getting 'cleaned' daily! There was also very little common area in which to socialise with other travelers

Liked: Close to sightseeings, friendly staff, hot showers and clean beds

Disliked: Only one restroom/shower for each room - meaning for 10 people. There are no windows neither in the bedroom nor in the bathroom.

Liked: Most importantly the location and then has to be it's price. Also coupled with Helpful & cheerful staff makes it a ideal place for a tourist looking for a economical place.

Disliked: Atmosphere could be pepped up a little bit & incorporate some more activities

Liked: It was located just at the start of the red light district. Very central but also very safe.

Disliked: There wasn't much opportunity to interact with other travellers except in your room.

Liked: Awesome location, right in the middle of the red light district. And nice rooms, with cupboards, headspace and charging points for each of the beds ! We booked the hostel a week ago and got a good deal (15 Euros .. trust me it's a good deal in Amsterdam). The decor is good too, with themed rooms. All in all, a very nice experience !

Disliked: Abhijit left no negative feedback.

Liked: THe LOCATION!! Right in the heart of the red light district with everything within walking/riding distance. The staff were very helpful in pointing you in the right direction, and the rooms were large with ensuite, lockers, clean linen and even a TV! Best place to stay in Amsterdam!!

Disliked: There is a very vocal duck in the canal, Lol! Absolutely nothing to dislike ;-)

Liked: The hostel was nice, clean, and in the middle of the red light district! The staff were quite friendly, and there were computers available for use, as well as free wifi. I would recommend Heart of Amsterdam if you want to be in the middle of the action so to speak.

Disliked: It was a bit expensive, and it is non-smoking.

Liked: Excelent location, nice staff and spacious room, clean overall

Disliked: Even if the staff is nice, they must be receive some concierge-training since all the people that uses their facilities are tourists and are clueless about what is going on in the area.
