Liked: themed rooms were OK , good idea at least . good breakfast , though had to pay extra

Disliked: my bed linen was heavily soiled with blood , the walls were thick with dust and the light fittings were hanging off the wall , it was very dark in the room and the bathroom making it hard to do make up or get ready they seemed to adding chargers for everything and we saw them argue with other people staying there who also had the same problems, adding more charges and not even having rooms for them when they had booked one.

Liked: Loved the location, the beds were clean and the rooms were relatively nice minus the cramped bunk beds. You don't spend a lot of time in the room anyway so it was fine for sleeping.

Disliked: HOT HOT HOT rooms. No air conditioning and the windows open didn't help at all. Sleeping with 7 other people in the room made it a sweat lodge by the morning. This called for a mandatory shower to clean the sweat off. Not kidding. One bathroom to eight people was a little tedious but we managed. Pretty much just shower and get out. The bathrooms were SOAKED by the end though because there is no bath matt and the entire bathroom is made out of tile. Had to mop that up after use. One of the receptionists (a guy) was so rude and unhelpful. All they do is sit behind their desks and watch tv.

Liked: I dont like anything.

Disliked: This hostel is not secure and safe as well.All of our precious things were stolen while the door was locked.

Liked: Very good location, right IN the red light district. About 10mins walk to Amsterdam Central train station.

Disliked: A bit noisy, and a bit dark

Liked: The location and breakfast were great.

Disliked: We had a roon from downstairs. The room was ok, but the floor flooded little bit from gaps of floor tiles. I think there will someday be a mould problem.

Liked: It's central location

Disliked: toilets smelt like a urinal and you can barely move in them

Liked: location was good if u wanted red light district, breakfast was ok and the rooms were clean with lockersand shelves

Disliked: the bathrooms were constantlz wet as there was no drainage, it made showering very difficult

Liked: The hostel is pretty clean bathrooms are new. Fresh towels daily. Location is pretty good, even though in red light district the streets are fairly safe even for lone travellers

Disliked: The staff are not very helpful or friendly. There is only 1 key per room so the door is left unlocked all the time. No kitchen or common area to meet people.

Liked: It was a good location, and great dorn style layout. Afforded privacy with the way they set up the safes and cubbies.

Disliked: Poor place to meet people.

Liked: Great atmosphere and location. Reception staff were awesome.

Liked: location, right in the red light district

Disliked: i booked a night for 46 euros, and i slept on a matress because they assigned the same bed to 2 persons...

Liked: I liked the themed rooms and the location is good as it is so central. The staff were friendly and they do offer breakfast. Beds were comfortable with reading light and own plug socket which was really handy.

Disliked: Breakfast comes at an additional cost which is a shame as the accomodation is not super cheap. We stayed in the Kill Bill room which was good but right on the street of the Red Light District so ear plugs recommended! One key per room so had to rely on fellow room mates to lock the room after they left. Safes provided did make up for this as they were very secure and a decent size.

Liked: Cool hostel. Very well located, walking distance from anything in the red light district. Clean place and welcoming staff. Smoking room in the back of the hostel. Would stay again, recommended.

Liked: The little shelves next to each bed were very handy and the room was very clean. We booked out a entire dorm so since we had it to ourselves we settled in very well. The bathrooms are clean although the toilet is a bit of a squeeze and the TV was an added bonus. The location was even better, planted right in the middle of everything.

Disliked: No kitchen facilities.

Disliked: The lady on reception when we arrived was quite unfriendly and most unhelpful, however another lady the next day was lovely and helped us out

Liked: Great style. Lofty rooms, sturdy bunk beds. Great individual cubbies and lights, and outlets. Modern ensuite. Wall mounted flat screen tv, nice touches!

Disliked: Nothing in particular.

Liked: Very nice place! We felt very free to do what we wanted to. And the people where very helpfull. Next time we are going to Amsterdam, we will stay at Heart Of Amsterdam.! Thanks for a good vercation!

Liked: Live sex show to the left, peep show to the right...yes this Hostel really is in the 'Heart' of the Red Light District. Very clean, really cool travellers. Only the price of the Hostel and the area that I can complain about.
