Customer reviewi would recommend this hostel to people travelling in groups. if youre travelling alone then i think its pretty hard to meet people here. as someone else said, its more like a hotel with dorms. still, its a good hostel, it seems to be cleaned every day, there are lockers by the bed that are free to use (10 euro deposit) , very good breakfast with meat, cheese, eggs, cereal, bread, coffee and orange juice . its also right slap bang in the red light district and very hot in the rooms with no a/c so the window is wide open all night and it can be very noisy, but i kinda liked that. dont be put off by it being in the red light district as its a safe area and not at all seedy as i imagined it would be, just very touristy. |

Kate WhittakerFantastic location right in the heart of the red light district, but the room was underground with black walls which meant the room got incredibly hot and uncomfortable. However, the room has an amazing widescreen LCD TV and the ability to get a DVD player. |

Customer reviewThe themed rooms were okay, but the rooms downstairs get REALLY hot at night. Not the most comfortable. |

Andrew WeegarThis is a great hostel if you are looking to party in Amsterdam. It is located right in the middle of the red light district on one of the busiest roads in the district. That being said it is very noisy late into the night if you are in a room in the front of the house. Also there is no air conditioning and the windows can only be cracked open (they didn't even stay open for us we had to use water bottles to prop them up). However we were only at the hostel for about 5-6 hours a day to sleep so this didn't really bother us too much. Overall I thought it was a good hostel, if you are looking to party this is one of the best located hostels in town for the price. |

Dustin LeiteThey named themselves appropriately as this hostel is right in the center of the Red Light District. Just a short walk from the Central Train Station, it was easy to find. The only negative was the bathrooms. They had very hot water but the shower stalls were pretty disguisting. Definitely want to wear your sandals in the shower. |

Katherine McVeighGreat place to stay. Great location in the centre of town. Clean fresh towels every morning. Breakfast included. If your into late nights out, ask for the star wars themed room and its so dark you can sleep all day under darths watchful eyes. Amazing! |

RODOLFO CAMPOSI had a nice staying at Heart of Amsterdam, the lounge free internet (although it was always occupied) and the generous breakfast were top points. I think that the lockers could be a little bigger, because few travellers backpacks can fit into them. |

Customer reviewWe liked this hostel a lot. Its right in the middle of the redlight district so its not for to walk to the centre, many bars and coffeeshops, the central station and whereever else you want to go. Its very clean and our room we stayed in (8 beds) was very spacious. The bathroom was pretty clean too, you also get clean towels every day. Breakfast was ok. There are two laptops you can use for free. For a 10€ deposit you can put your stuff in a locker so its safe. All in all its a great place to stay at for this price. |

Xun He, Winnie NgThe hotel looks a little old but its alright. 6 of us stayed in a 8person dorm ensuite. The room is cozy however toilet is not what we had expected. The toilet is without water drainage and the shower is separated by shower curtain. Therefore while bathing, water will flood the entire toilet. Still, i would say its worth the price paid. The breakfast is fantastic by the way! |
