Your paying for the location of the hostel. its slap bang in the middle of amsterdam and everthing you could want is in easy walking distance. If you dont mind a not so clean bathroom for a night or two and a pretty poor breakfast its a good choice for a cheap hostel in the centre.

The hostel is located in the best place, just in the center, just a few minutes from the station, a few steps to Red Light District and 10 mins to the main square Damrak. Hostel is quite clean. Enough showers, didn't have to wait for shower at all. Breakfast is in the price which is very comfortable.
