Liked: the rooms are very clean, and the people there are very nice. the fact that the break fast is included in the price is a plus.

Disliked: if it were a little closer iut would have been closer, but there is a bus the bus 21 that picks u up right in front of the hostel and takes u to the central station ... :)

Liked: The beds were large and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was free, and a fairly good selection.

Disliked: The bad thing about this hostel is the location. It is about 45 minutes from the airport (the directions online were incorrect, by the way) and a 30 minute tram ride from downtown (which also cost 2.70 euro a ride).

Liked: The best thing about the hotel was there's a halal supermarket just in front of the hostel..lots of different kind of meats and sausages in quite a reasonable price..very good place for muslims who plans to visit Amsterdam :)

Liked: beds and rooms are clean, fresh towel everyday, breakfast perfect, internet connection good even in the dorms.

Disliked: outside of rooms need attention, and some staff looks just bored the jobs they doing, they can smile more..

Liked: Clean serviced room and bathroom. Great inclusive breakfast. Quiet location close to supermarket and public transport.

Disliked: Staff seem very unfriendly. Customer service does not seem to be a priority.

Liked: each room has private bathroom. very clean and breakfst is really very. I have been in many hostels in europe. for me slotania is the best among all.

Disliked: few staffs are unfriendly.

Liked: location for the trams easy no fuss access and plenty local shops

Disliked: no bar or smoking area. No fruit at breakfast and the food was runing out by the end of the week.

Liked: The bedding and bathroom were very clean and the included breakfast was excellent.

Disliked: The carpets and floors need to be vacuumed more regularly and the staff need to work on their customer service.

Liked: It was one of the cheapest accomodations still available and the people who worked there liked to chat and gave good information.

Disliked: Too many italians. And don't get me wrong. I am an italian myself. Then they had that delicious orange juice that only was available in the morning at breakfast. Yet one could still see it from the reception suffering the diabolic temptation, but knowing it was forbidden to get some.

Liked: Is far from the city center, but it worth the money, very good hotel for the price.

Liked: I really like Hotel Slotania, i thought it just normal hostel, but is is hostel on hotel facility. Staff there really helpfull when me and my friend stay there and doing sightseeing Amsterdam

Disliked: I just dont really like the location, it quite far. BUT public transportation in Amsterdam is perfect so the location doesn't matter

Liked: Rooms were spacious and well equipped with tvs and free lockers. Average/niceish bathroom. At least it was private. Large selection of food for breakfast. Perfect location for an easy tram into the city and an easy bus to get the train to the airport.

Disliked: The constant weird smell in the hallways and the 18 hour a day construction next door to my room. Also 3 computers is not enough for the entire hostel, but was ok if you're patient.

Liked: It was very cheap, when they made a mistake they fixed it quickly and happily.

Disliked: It didn't offer enough space for secure storage of my belongings while sleeping or out. There was no kitchen so other than the free breakfast I had to buy my meals. It was very very messy and disorganized - for example in the long narrow hallway I had to walk through to get to my room, there were discarded bits of carpet and an old grocery store cart in the way.

Liked: The sheets were very clean and the breakfast was plentiful.

Disliked: They didn't have an all female dorm both nights I was there, but they put me in a single room the first night.

Liked: very clean, towels and linens seemed to be changed daily, large buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. we were in a private room, which had a good-sized ensuite bathroom (again, very clean) and a TV, and was heated throughout the day and night. staff knocked before entering, and didn't enter unless the room was empty. good transport links right outside.

Disliked: it is a good half hour from the centre, by bus or tram, though given the regularity of public transport this didn't really cause any problem for us. wifi didn't work at all duting the time we were there, and staff weren't overly helpful in trying to fix it, though there are three public computers which worked fine.
