Liked: beds are very comfortable and the sheets are really clean.

Disliked: no restaurants around the hostel.

Liked: The breakfast was EXCELLENT for a hostel.

Disliked: The loungery was not clean (hopefully, we were only staying for a night) and hasn't been washed after the departure of the people sleeping there before us.

Liked: The room was great, plenty of hot water and heat, great breakfast, and a great price.

Disliked: It was a bit far from the city, but it allows for more walking which isn't terrible.

Liked: Nothing really, there's nothing to like; they know they're cheap so they honor their prices with cheap facilities and cheap staff.. and if you complain about anything they'll say it's your fault for choosing them!

Disliked: Hotel staff and manager are the rudest people I've ever had to deal with!

Liked: Good beds, room is cleaned every day and you get a new towel

Disliked: ... which is good because the bathroom was filthy and the eatrr in the tub never went down

Liked: The free breakfast in the morning was fresh and plentiful, and the bedrooms and linens were all clean and warm.

Disliked: There was no communal kitchen, laundry, or space for guests to hang out. As I'm travelling on a budget this meant I had cold baked beans for dinner, washed my underwear in the bathroom sink and spent the evening in my room.

Disliked: The location is a little bit outside of the city but for the price it is much better than expected.

Liked: Breakfast and wifi included in the price, and breakfast quite good. Towels changed and beds made daily. Big supermarket directly opposite the hotel, as well as tram/bus stop. Inexpensive place to stay for those travelling on a tight budget (i.e. those who cannot afford to stay right in the heart of the city).

Disliked: In my opinion, this is a hostel with private rooms, not a hotel. The rooms are pretty tatty (our bathroom door didn't close properly and had a hole from where someone had kicked it, and our quad room had rickety bunk beds) but it's a cheap place to stay in a city where accommodation is quite pricey. The location is not the prettiest place in Amsterdam but the tram stops just outside and it's about 20 minutes to Dam Square.

Liked: Breakfast was FAB. Free internet, okay it's not the fastest but it's FREE lol. Very clean, sheets and towels changed every day.

Disliked: A little out of the way but tram stops right outside the hostel, 2.60 for ticket cant complain. Not smoker friendly this should be mentioned as a lot of people go to Amsterdam to smoke ;)

Liked: The place is pretty clean, the breakfast is good.

Disliked: The beds make horrible sounds.

Liked: It was more like a 3star hotel than a hostel. Nice room with a very nice bathroom. Breakfast was very tasty and you could have as much as you could eat.

Disliked: It was far from the centre of town, a half-hour bike ride or bus journey. However, as Amsterdam is so expensive, this has the side benefit that you get hotel quality at hostel prices.

Liked: -Breakfast -We met some other nice travellers -Own bathroom in our dorm -Even though the hostel is pretty far away, the nightbusses are running through the whole night

Disliked: loo didnt flush completely each time, made a noise 24/7. Outside walkway to room

Liked: it's near a great Doner Kabob place, food mart, grocery store, and most importantly next to a tram and bus stop.

Disliked: The facilities are dirty (most notably the hallways), and the hostel rooms are clearly double bed hotel rooms converted to hold ten bunk beds. This means that up to 10 people share the same bathroom.
