Liked: Not much. There was free breakfast however which was appreciated. Room was distinctly average.

Disliked: Not very friendly reception staff. Expensive for the 1 night we stayed. In the dorm the lock on the toilet was broken, the tap barely functioned and there was no shower curtain. Not great for an 8 person dorm. Also it is annoyingly far from central amsterdam. Not really worth walking so you had to pay for the tram.

Liked: The breakfast was really good.

Disliked: They overbooked our room in the hostel. At 3 in the morning, I was awoken by a crazy-looking man screaming "AHHHHH EVERYBODY WAKE UP AAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" I was terrifyed. He started shouting everyone's names who stayed in the room, asking them to identify themselves. It was not until later that he explained he was the manager of the hostel. We were all punnished because they overbooked the room. The beds were too close together to even walk inbetween them, the rooms smelled bad, etc.

Liked: There was computer access.

Disliked: Basically, we wanted to leave as soon as we arrived due to unsafe atmosphere and cleanliness conditions. Worst hostel we've stayed in. The shower would not drain water and it pooled onto the floor in the bathroom. Very dirty carpet. Phone did not work. Our room was not ready way beyond check in time when we arrived.

Liked: Breakfast was fantastic! Also, the people at reception were very friendly. I didn't think I would meet people as easily, being so far away from city center, but the lounge area always had people wandering through and I ended up having a few good conversations.

Disliked: It is a fair distance from city center -- 15-20 min by tram. The tram drops you off right in front of the hostel, though, so that's nice. Also, the beds are very squeaky, and in the middle of the night someone came in to turn on the lights and check for empty beds :(

Liked: The accomodations are clean and confortable.

Disliked: The location of the hostel is not really centralized, but there is a lot of buses and trains to get there.

Liked: funny recepcionist of the night, very friendly and funny. Likes talking and aways disposed to help.

Disliked: the chinese worker of the breakfast is very rude, she does not speak english and alson shout guests. She is crazy. The guy of the reception in the morning is very rude and does not want to help at all. Wi fi almost does not exist, really poor signal. poor breakfast. far from the city center, but bus and tram stop are really near.

Liked: Really nice breakfast!

Disliked: The photos of the hotel dont give a realistic picture of the hotel. They are renovating it, so only the lobby and breakfast hall is actually nice and clean. Rooms that we stayed had problems, such as toilet didnt flush, shower drain was plugged...

Liked: Although is 20 min. far away from the train station by bus, the location is in a very tranquil place. The service offers a good connection/cordination with tour plans through awesome towns around Amsterdam. Nice breakfast!

Disliked: Small room.

Disliked: The rooms were not clean, they were very dirty and dusty, all the things in the room were very old and it had a bad smell in the room

Liked: Nothing.

Disliked: As above plus they were doing in renovation work which is fine but they didn't seem in anyway apologetic or concerned about the inconvenience to guests. The dining room was very dirty. You couldn't walk up the stairs to get to the room and the lift was broken. Then the workmen shouted at you.

Liked: Easy to find by using bus 21

Disliked: Looked quite old and run down. needs a goood lick of paint but looks like they are laying new carpets and updating the decor

Liked: it was clean and safe.

Disliked: there was no lockers in the rooms. the sink in the restroom was not working properly, and the staff did not care about it when they were told, so I had to wash my face in the bath tub! staff were not very polite. not very close to city center, however it was rather easy to find, 30 seconds from a direct bus stop to the city center.

Liked: Rooms were decent and modest, very affordable, and it felt more like a hotel then a hostel.

Disliked: far away from the center. everything around it closes early. breakfast is very basic.

Liked: Even for a low price you get quite a nice breakfast. The bartenders in the hotel bar are really nice and open-minded. Towel is included. Most of the staff is quite friendly

Disliked: Rooms are a bit small - but I don't expect too much for this price so its fair. The night clerk is unbelievable unfriendly and rude (He is called Christian)!!!

Liked: The breakfast was decent, so long as you really like ham. There was also a TV in the room.

Disliked: There are very few decent hostels available in Amsterdam, and this isn't one of them. The beds were incredibly creaky and the bathroom could have done with a really thorough clean. They also REALLY need to update their four computers, which run ridiculously slowly. Some members of staff were friendly, but most weren't. One night, at about 1am, someone banged on the door, turned on the lights, yelled "ANY BEDS?!" and directed newcomers in. The hostel itself seems to be going under some serious building work inside, which possibly explains the huge stacks of polished tiles in the corridor, but doesn't explain why there was a queue of shopping carts upstairs. Most problematic was the location - it's about 20 minutes away from the city centre, via tram. And tram tickets cost about twelve euros for 2 days, and it's not the kind of system you can just hop on without paying. You'd probably be just as well paying more and picking a more centrally-located hostel.

Liked: - clean bathrooms - three-bed room was perfect for three girls - very good transport connection (even at nights one bus an hour): bus and tram stops in front of the hostel - breakfast included - clean bed linen - Wireless lan in the rooms - size of the rooms - we were able to leave our luggage in the cellar on our last day - 24h-reception - no strict check-in period --> you could not expect anything better for this cheap prize!

Disliked: - first 5-bed-room of the boys had no window to open and no air-conditioning system - therefore it was way too hot to stay there for 5 boys! --> they got another room on the second day - it happens quite often that the cards to open the rooms doors did not work - no toilet brushes (5 boys!) - windows/doors don´t work the way they should - computers in the lobby don´t work - unfriendly staff: we had to change our room because of a leaking and i forget a shirt in the closet of our room - it was never seen again and the staff was not helpful and friendly at all
