Liked: Such a friendly environment, would not hesitate to stay here again. Staff are lovely, clean, and the location is ideal.

Disliked: The building has a lot of character to it with the steep winding stairs

Liked: Only the location. It's good.

Disliked: The linnen was VERY dirty, and with a lot of holes! The bathroom is tiny, i mean really tiny. There is no lockers at all! You have to trust in your roomates. Even thought there is a lot of regulations and fees against smoking (cigarretes and drugs), the building smeels weed. In my room the other guests were smoking inside and nobody have done anything about it. I've been in a lot of hostels during my eurotrip, around 15, and this is for sure the WORST! If you want to smoke and smeels like weed all day long, this is the perfect hostel. Otherwise, don't be there!

Liked: The hostel was really clean and tidy. Excellent location in the heart of Amsterdam. You can really feel yourself safe because the arrangements of the hostel entrance.

Liked: i loved that it was so close to leidseplein, where most of the activities and shops were located, as well as its close proximity to the van gogh museum! even though it is really easy to get lost in amsterdam (even with a map), the prime location of this hostel made it relatively easy for us to find our way back from wherever we were, all we had to do was to follow the tram lines.

Disliked: i will not generalise that the staff were bad or unfriendly, because not all of them were like that. in fact, when we first checked in, the front-desk personnel was extremely friendly and forthcoming, answering any queries that we had. however, on subsequently when we attempted to extend our stay at the hostel, the staff that we asked was rather rude and impatient. another one even contradicted what the first nice guy said when we requested to use the microwave and he said that the kitchen was closed because it was too late. honestly, he was just being a lazy asshole. wifi connection here was weak and unstable, probably because we got the top floor of the hostel. but this is easily remedied if you're ok with going to the lobby to use the 2 computer terminals. the heater in the room was not always functional, and the staff kept responding with "oh it will be switched on later".

Liked: Everything was great! Had a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival and farewell upon departure.Clean and cheap. Thank you guys for your amazing services! nothing could be done better!

Liked: It was very cheap for being right in the city center. It felt pretty safe. The staff were extremely nice. The bathrooms were clean.

Disliked: There was only one shower on our floor and people from the other floor were also using it so there may only have been one shower for multiple dorms. The shower and lounge are locked from 3:00 to 8:30 everyday so it's hard to get an early start. There was a mouse in our room and the wifi was very weak.

Liked: Very good atmosphere, very nice staff, very well located, super close to the Museumsqaure, the Leidssqaure, the Vondelpark. Way better than I expected.

Liked: I had a great stay!! It was comfortable and pleasant on all fronts. Loved my morning coffee and chats with staff, convenient location to hot spots, very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Liked: Excellent value for money, hostel is exactly as described. Clean rooms, helpful staff in a great location convenient for leidseplein.

Disliked: Could be noisy at night with bar opposite, but not too bad for sleeping.

Liked: Fantastic staff, very friendly, interesting and helpful! Had a fantastic time as the place was a central location, had brilliant rooms, great services and they always went that extra bit to help you find things to do and find the places you were looking for.

Liked: Close to the center. Value for the money.

Disliked: Rooms, bathrooms and wc's are small. There are bunk beds in the rooms and the top side of the beds are unsecure and hard to climb.

Liked: I really loved my stay at Amsterdam hostel centre! The staff was so helpful and friendly, and the location in the Leidssqaure District cannot be beat. The security is really tight, so I felt totally safe staying there. I would recommend to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.

Liked: Good location within walking distance of many of the cities attractions. Warm showers!

Disliked: There is a very loud rock bar opposite the hostel, which music blasts out from until 2/3am everytime someone goes in or out the doors.

Liked: Great location in a nice area of town with lovely shops, cafes and restaurants near by. Everything is within walking distance. The bedroom and bathroom were really nice and the common room. Great place to meet people too. We loved our stay here and will be back again!

Liked: It is located near Leidseplain and Prinsengracht, some good restaurants etc. around there. Easy to get where you want and come back at any time to leave and pick up stuff while exploring the city. City Map etc. provided in the "lobby".

Liked: The location was superb & the staff were helpful when questions were asked of them.

Disliked: The room was damp and the bedding did not smell/feel clean. The bathroom and room was not cleaned at all during our stay. The bins were finally changed one day, but by this stage, they were quite smelly.

Liked: Good location, very close to Leidse Plein. Very friendly and helpfull staff .

Disliked: Open shower next to the toilet. No hot water 90% of the time. Was qute smelly inside. Very hard to find when you go there the first time, cause the entrance is not easy to spot.

Liked: Fantastic location, the best you could ask for. beds were good, free internet but one of the 2 computers didn't work. Alot of the reviews complain that the stairs are very steep but we were in Amsterdam for a week and stayed at 2 other hostels and the stairs are steep everywhere you go.

Disliked: No common room or free breakfast. The rooms were extremely small, no windows in the bedroom. only one shower which was fine, but the shower had no screen or anything so the toilet, sink and all your clothes got wet. its a place to sleep that's all. Nothing special.
