Liked: The location is good and the wifi is ok.

Disliked: - no lockers in the rooms - breakfast is only two pieces of toast, marmelade or nutella and coffee or tea - there's a tapison on the floor of the dorm rooms and it smells really bad - the shower in the bathroom has no curtain or doors or tray so the whole place (including toilet) gets wet which is really annoying - they didn't gave us the bill and we've seen a lady who asked for it and they wouldn't give it to her - when we arrived only boiling water ran out of the pipes and the next day there was only ice cold water. The staff didn't react to our complaints and they didn't offer any refunds for this - the hostel is definitely overpriced (even though the prices were probably higher because of gay pride parade which just ended on day before our arrival) - their safe (it's just a closet) is not really that safe because when you come to take stuff out of it they just show you everything that is in it and ask you which is yours, so you could take something that doesn't belong to you

Liked: good location, plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around and the tram line is very close. only 10-15min walk to red light district. rooms are ok, staff are helpful.

Disliked: very squishy but this is typical for amsterdam.

Liked: The staff was friendly, helpful and were great at recommending things to do. It was clean and had amazing character. It felt like a cross between hotel and hostel. I recommend this hostel to everyone and I would stay here again in a heart or city.

Liked: The staff was really helpful and polite. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable.

Liked: Location, free internet.

Disliked: Poor itchy flea ridden bedding, lack of breakfast, bad shower and toilet facilities, expensive compared to other much better hostels that I've been to.

Liked: Location was big here. It was close to almost everything. The rooms and beds were very clean too.

Disliked: It's a good place but it's very simple. It's the place to go if you just want a bed. There isn't really a common room (couple of small tables at reception with internet) so I kind of felt like I was loitering a bit while I was waiting for people . The staff were nice but they didn't seem to go out of their way for people and to be honest one of them seemed a whole lot more helpful to pretty girls.

Liked: Great staff, friendly and relaxed. Good location, not too seedy but convenient.

Disliked: Hard to find, but not a major hassle.

Liked: It was in a great location! About 15 minute walk from the center and red light district. But surrounded by restaurants, bars, and clubs. Definitely the place to be on a weekend night.

Disliked: The light in the bathroom didn't work. I fell down the stairs at least five times. Definitely just a place to sleep.

Liked: Very good location- right in the center of a very busy, fun area for tourists. Near many coffeeshops, restaurants, and bike rentals.

Disliked: Bathroom and shower were in one single room, for ten people, so everything in the bathroom was wet all the time and also was occupied frequently.

Liked: The quirkiness, THE LOCATION.

Disliked: To be honest, I had an amazing time at this hostel. However, this was more to do with the people I met and less the hostel. I didn't complain the entire time I was there as I had a swell time, but I will be honest here for my fellow travelers - there is three 6-person bedrooms each floor, and only one shower and toilet between them. There are no lockers in most rooms, the rooms are small, the staircases steep and winding, no real 'common' area and the reception is tiny, cannot fit many in there to socialize and closes around 3AM - heaven forbid if you make any noise after then! The guy who works nights was a right ass to us also (both guys who work the desk by day were awesome) I missed breakfast every day I was there so I can't comment on that. Waaaay overpriced for what it is.

Liked: Absolutely loved the Amsterdam hostel centre. This was the first hostel I have ever stayed at, and my experience just made me antsy for more traveling. I loved the people, the atmosphere and despite my fears about how uncomfortable staying at a hostel might be, I found my experience highly enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend, and when I come back to Amserdam (and I'm certain I will) I will absolutely come back to the Amsterdam hostel centre. Thanks for making my experience in Amsterdam so

Liked: me gusto la ubicacion del lugar

Disliked: Tuve una mal. experiencia en la 2da noche que me quede ,comparti la habitacion con 5 chicos varones que no se supieron ubicar que estaban compartiendo el cuarto con una mujer y que estaban en un hostal ,no me habia pasado antes ,esto no depende del hostal sino de la gente, Fue una situacion bastante incomoda porque no me queria ir a acostar y no dormi casi nada .

Liked: It has really good location, one can use Internet, quite good breakfast.. and in general the staff is friendly and tries to be helpful.

Disliked: Anyhow it was total mess when I was checking in: they have accomodated me in a 10 bed dorm instead of 6 bed dorm for the first night, and the room was not clean enough.. but it's also because the travellers who were not very tidy.. But the staff did its best to dissolve the problem.

Liked: Only good thing was the location. There were lots of bars and restaurants in the street and surrounding area. tram and great shopping nearby.

Disliked: It was tiny, smelly and not the cleanest. the communal area was tiny and dismal. No real opportunity to meet other people. Open a door off the corridor and you were literally in the shower. No space to hang your clothes and towel or get changed. Overpriced for what you get. Wish I had just spent a little more and stayed in a hotel

Disliked: the breakfast is two pieces of bread and a coffee...they will fine you for any little thing you do wrong and it is sooo small...but good location for the money!

Liked: no nonsense. Is what it is, accomodation in amsterdam. Good for sleeping in.

Disliked: but the bathroom is too small, you do not really have space to put your clothes or stuffs.
