Liked: everything from postcard stamps to souveneers to postbox could be done at the hostel saving you time to explore the city. for the money i paid dont think you could get much better anywhere in the city.

Disliked: Staff went out there way to be helpful. Always somebody on hand. Loved the happy go lucky chap who did the rooms. all in all a very memorable stay. so really not a lot to dislike.

Liked: The location

Disliked: It wasn´t worth the money it costs. The room was a bit dirty, the staff wasn´t helpful at all, breakfast wasn´t good enough ( a cup of coffee and two toasts), and the toilet was small and not very clean.

Disliked: everithing, it's expensive for what they offer, the rooms small, the 1 really small toilet for floor, and 1 really small shower for floor too, no lokers at the room, really don't recomend it

Liked: The hostel is clean and cosy, the staff is friendly and ready to assist the guests in every kind of enquiry. The location is perfect, 'cause as you step out from the hostel, the streets are full of restaurants, coffeshops, night clubs, and all the facilities that one might need when travelling (supermarket, ATMs, cigarette shops). Internet WIFI is fast and available in rooms. Definetely an excellent place.

Liked: We enjoyed our stay at the Orfeo, we would always choose this hostel in Amsterdam because it's clean, safe has a nice atmosphere and a friendly staff. Very good location also, in the middle of everything.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff especially Rashid and the funny crazy Ali. Wonderful location with dive bars and coffee shops just around the corner . Prefect for meeting interesting travelers as well as relocating expats. Hot showers. Warm rooms.

Liked: Good location

Disliked: I booked at the last possible moment.. so it was definitely a ripoff for 60 euros a night.. the toilets in each floor stank! and there s only one toilet for around 25 people. definitely not worth it if u re booking last moment! if u re booking for a place to crash for the night, close to the main sights, then go to this place.

Liked: It was in a great location and it was very easy to get to all the major attractions in the city. There are also many excellent restaurants around the hostel. The front desk was very helpful and breakfast was simple but good (toast with butter, jelly, peanut butter, coffee, juice, and hard boiled eggs.)

Disliked: The bathrooms smelled bad and there was only one shower and one toilet (separate) for at least 10 people on the floor.

Liked: It was very close to most things, the staff were friendly

Disliked: A little hard to find at first, also although it says there is a kitchen the kitchen only consists of a couple hotplates, a microwave (which was broken), a toaster and a kettle. No stove. It is also in a bit of a noisy neighborhood so you might want to bring headphones.

Liked: Location.

Disliked: It has no elevator... so if you have any luggage it is very though to get to other floors. The toilets are REALLY tiny and not really clean. The bathroom is very bad, really small and don´t have basic facilities to make your life easier.

Liked: Had great places to eat all around us and the guy behind the desk was completely helpful.

Disliked: The coffeeshops are a little out the way but it can easily be walked and you pass every food outlet along the way to ease the pain. Rooms are pretty bland, but that isn't too important when you spend most of your time out and about.

Liked: No upside - perhaps location but the downsides almost negate that benefit

Disliked: The room was literally like a prison cell - except it had 6 inmates. The room worked out at 300 Euro a night, I wouldn't have paid 100 for it. Far too small for the number of people we had in it. 6 people in a room where there was MAX room for 4 (even that would have been insulting for the price of 50 EURO a head a night)
