Liked: Great facilities, good design for bathroom facilities (so that more people can use at the same time), great coffee and breakfast, huge selection of books at the book exchange section, and friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't ask for more.

Disliked: Well, the location may be a bit inconvenient, but I suppose it's as good as it gets. Besides, if you get a day/48 hour transport card, it doesn't really matter.

Liked: Cleanliness and the atmosphere were excellent. The building itself was very spacious and nicely decorated.

Disliked: Unfortunately not many facilities were available such as a microwave oven or table games. The hostel is rather far from the centre - I had to buy a daily ticket that costs 7 EUR.

Liked: Cleanliness, easy to get from Amsterdam Centraal, good quality beds make no nosie during sleep.

Disliked: if you book from the stayoky hostel website you will pay less!!! I paid 35 euro for 2 nights because I booked from HostelBookers.com! and when i check the stayoky website later I saw the price 22euro will cost for my stay :S

Liked: It was a really nice and good hostel, with helpful staff, the breakfast in the morning was amazing.

Disliked: There were some problems with the heating system, so our room wasn't enough warm.

Liked: Completely clean. You get your own set of sheets when you check in and mattresses have coverings on them so there is no chance of bedbugs. The breakfast included was great. Cereal, milk, yogurt, granola, fruit, coffee, juice. There were also breads, meats and cheeses so you could even make a sandwich and save if for later. You had to unlock 3 different doors to get into your room and the bathroom and shower were separate which helped when people were getting ready in the morning.

Disliked: It is a good distance away from the center of town, so you will need to take the bus or tram a lot. I'd suggest buying a 24-hour pass. It saves A LOT of money because you will need to use public transportation a lot.

Liked: For a budget traveler, this hostel is really at par because of its price, friendly staff and they also serve free buffet breakfast every morning :)

Liked: It's amazing for a hostel !! Comfortable and clean bunk beds. Sheets and duvet covers came in sealed plastic bag. No stains !! The staffs were all very friendly and with a smile. Breakfast was very good for a hostel. Good quality and plentiful. Great coffee and juice as well. Good atmosphere. Well behaved guests apart from us 7 ladies. Bar was very reasonable. Very pleased that it is a none smoking building !! All in all we were very impressed. It's a little way out from Centraal Station ( tram 14 was difficult to locate ) but the tram was frequent and a pleasant journey in and out to the hostel. It would also be ideal for family in the quad rooms. Didn't feel unsafe at all. Our rooms was lovely with high ceiling and windows. Didn't bother too much of the view. The only thing I would say is if the could clean the inside of the lamp shade and ceiling in room 214. Pretty dusty up there .

Liked: Very nice inside, clean, with WiFi and a bar. Although it is not close to downtown, it is fairly easy to get there, and there are restaurants, bars, a movie theater right next door, and is a great value hostel.

Disliked: Nothing. Location wasn't great, but wasn't too bad either.

Liked: The hostel provides exactly what they've described on website. Nice and friendly staff is helpful and informative. Good service and good buffet breakfast. I was satisfied staying there. There are buses and trams easily to get there.

Disliked: The location of the hostel is quite far from the central of Amsterdam.

Liked: The daytime staff were great however the night time staff was a bit lacking.. we weren't given sheets and bedding when we cheeked.. had to go back down to reception to collect them.. Breakfast simple but good.

Disliked: There was no lockable facility to store your items when you're out for the day..

Disliked: As I was in female room, apparently one male stayed overnight, because they didnt have a bed for him in the same room as his friends. But it was OK :)

Liked: The environment is beautiful, lots of space, great bedrooms and lots of people. The location is good, nice neighborhood. Great food and lots of opportunities.

Liked: Very large, the bar was great and offered happy hour between 9:30pm and 10:30pm where drinks were pretty cheap. The rooms were large enough to not feel like I was in a tin can. Really clean place and an ideal location considering a main road filled with shops was a five minute walk up the road. One tram from outside the hostel takes you straight into the heart of Amsterdam within 10mins.

Disliked: The rooms could get pretty hot. The nights we spent there was baking and the rooms didnt offer any air con or fans to cool ourselves down.
