everyone had their own key for the room and it locked behind you every time! had our own lockers in the room as well and everything felt comfortable and safe! good food too boo hoo yoo boob

The location next to the canal and the clean facilities. Close to busy Leidesplein and the trams ran frequently to Amsterdam centre.
The staff were very nice and friendly.

It was in a good location, just outside of the busiest part of town but within staggering distance of many pubs, clubs and coffeeshops! The little bar on the corner of the street was fantastic! Great atmosphere. I've stayed in this hostel twice now, it's brilliant if it's your first time in Amsterdam as the staff are all really friendly and helpful. Like most of the city, it has a chilled out, relaxed atmosphere that allows you to enjoy yourself!
Another good point was that I always felt very safe there, as you feel like the staff are always looking out for you!
If all you want is a place to crash, a cheap breakfast and a few friendly smiles here and there - this is the place for you! But don't be expecting a palace!

this place has a layed back and very friendly atmosphere, perfect for a weekend in Amsterdam. We even got a wake up call an hour before we had to check out.

Simple, cheap no-frills accomodation. The doors could do with some attention-very loud bang when closing! Friendly staff. Nice area of Amsterdam, beautiful views of canals. The art gallery underneath was rather intriguing.

The location is fantastic - just a three minute walk from the lively centre of Leidseplein! I loved the old building and how the rooms were set out, it makes the general feel of the place warm and comforting.
