Liked: Great place to stay in Amsterdam with a friendly staff and unbeatable location, right next to the red light district, you would have to be crazy not to stay at the White Tulip!!

Liked: IT IS VERY DIRTY AND THE ATMOSFERE IS NOT VERY COMFORTABLE. YOU NEED TO PAY 5% TAX FOR THE CITY.

Liked: where the hostel is located, very central. You can reach everything in a few minutes by foot.

Disliked: the cleanliness especially in the bathroom, the blankets had dirty spots and there was nothing to hang the jackets

Liked: A great stay in the middle of Amsterdam. Staff gave you good guidelines for things to do in Amsterdam. Free Wi-Fi is definitely a good thing. Rooms were clean and the bar was great! Reccomended to stay if you go to Amsterdam

Liked: The location is ideal. It's a no frills, cheap place to crash.

Disliked: The 'lounge area' had seating enough for only 3 people, other than that it was fine.

Liked: The location is really good. It's not quiet but what do you expect in the center of the city. Rooms were comfortable and clean enough and staff were friendly

Liked: location! close to everything, as clean as you could hope for when staying with a bunch of people you don't know, great little patio for people watching out back of the bar

Disliked: watch out for the killer staircase! Crazy steep, and theres a corner close to the top that is a shoulder bruiser everytime. Best crawled up when returning from a night out drinking!

Liked: The only positive thing is that it´s close to the train station.

Disliked: Very dirty, people were smoking all sorts of things in the rooms, the room next door had a party all night and the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Didn´t get much sleep!

Liked: Center of Amsterdam. Cheap. Good for young people who wants to be in the center of Amsterdam. A pub downstairs with discount. A lock is available at the reception for 5 euros to close the locker in your room so it's prety safe and the room opens with a sécurité card.. We stayed in the 12 person dorm and it was good. Not amazing but ok for the price, same for the bathroom outside, not amazing but good for backpackers and honest.

Liked: had a lovely time in amsterdam, this hostel was the right place to stay at, right in the middle of everything. People were nice, staff were friendly, overall good vibe and fun pub downstairs.

Disliked: stairs were quite steep but did get used to them a little after a while
