Liked: the location was great.. the food downstairs was really good and really cheap!! even though we were a group of 5, we made so many friends from the hostel and stuck together throughout the trip. The communal showers and toilets werent as bad as i though they would be!! specially when all these random hot, guys walk out half naked in the morning.

Liked: Nice Irish pub downstairs, but the place overall did not feel inviting. Would not mind spending the night here, but I'm not planning on coming back.

Liked: Overall we had a very pleasant stay. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, the beds and linen very comfy and thankfully they didn't skimp on the heating because it was sooo cold outside. There are large lockers in the rooms big enough to fit your luggage which was good and the security system of the reception made it feel more secure. The 25% discount in the Irish bar is good for breakfast, but don't drink there, its expensive (unless you have beer). The things that let the hostel down were really its lack of common room, we didn't really get a chance to meet anyone at all, and the shared bathroom. It would have perhaps been nice if there were male and female sections, and also if the hostel could store your bags after checkout like most other hostels. But overall its a clean, comfy place in the centre of town (don't be weary of staying in the red light district, its fine) and the price is pretty good.

Liked: Actually had lockers big enough for luggage you can rent a lock, very busy street so if you're a partier then great and that noise can put me to sleep but if you need quiet then don't stay here cuz its loud till past 3 am on a good night, Benny from reception helped me with an impossible task and it seemed I couldn't find a question he couldn't help me with.

Liked: The location has to be the best place. It was cheap and just a place to stay. It was nothing special but did the job. It wasn't themost homely of places but housekeeping came round without fail. We had nothing to complain about over the five days we stayed.

Liked: Was right in the heart of the Red Light district!! It was noisy from outside but it didn't bother myself!! Gay bars are a fair walk!! The staff were v helpful!!

Liked: good clean and safe although the showers were average and there were some very shonky guests not reccomended if you want a decent night sleep as you get people in at all hours of the night

Liked: This was a cheap place to stay and is in teh heart of Amsterdam. It doesn't take too long to walk to the 9 streets and the 'nicer' parts of Amsterdam, but if you want some craziness then it's in the right part!! We stayed for just 1 night. We had no probs at all and everyone was very good at being quiet and considerate in our room. At one point there was a great deal of noise on the hallway - but that is the price to pay!I would only stay here if you are having a 'lively trip'!!!

Liked: Good location, although can be quite noisy being right in the heart of the city if you're looking for a good night sleep. It's a shame there is no common room. Traveling alone I did find it difficult to meet people until I had some decent roomies. Place is pretty clean (they even change your sheets during your stay!) but the bathrooms are a little yuck mainly from over usage. Staff are super friendly and the meal deals at the pub downstairs are great.
