Liked: the locker is big enough even you carry with a big bag. The location is fine and the entrance is separated from the bar. Free ticket printing is really helpful

Disliked: the door lock sometime doesn't work. the bathroom is quite small and no place for the clothes.

Liked: The free towels and padlocks (with deposit) were really nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and we got a good discount at the pub next door.

Disliked: The beds were uncomfortable. They are so busy. Certainly this is not the fault of the hostel but staying with 11 people in one tight room in the red light district is not condusive to sleeping.

Liked: The hostel was located right in the middle of everything! One street away from the red light district and close to the main shopping streets. Very cheap as well!

Disliked: The rooms were not always the cleanest, and the noise from the street could get quite loud in the room at night. Also, the rooms are co-ed and there is no age limit, so sometimes you'd end up sleeping in a room with some creepos. However, i think it's fine as long as you're not a female traveling alone.

Liked: The location of the hostel lends itself to exploring the entire city since everything was in walking distance. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars and the like in the vicinity, so finding something to eat or drink (at reasonable prices) wasn't too difficult. However I would recommend being patient when choosing where to go since chances are, there will be a cheaper alternative just round the corner. Beds were clean and comfy and the bathroom area was also kept tidy.

Disliked: Having read some of the other comments about the hostel, I wasn't sure what to expect, so I just expected the worse. However, everything turned out to be generally okay. Perhaps a larger common room area would have been good,but it's easy enough to go out and go somewhere else anyway. And although you could hear the church bells, they definitely weren't as deafening as some people had insisted on their reviews. Just don't expect the type of nights sleep you might get in the rural countryside...

Liked: Fantastic place to stay, really nice staff and perfect location!

Disliked: Although it was nice to have a computer available, it would have been better if there was a TV or a Kitchen to use.

Liked: It is located at a very convenient point along the redlight district, and is not that tough to find.

Disliked: The bathrooms were really tiny but otherwise quite clean. People smoked weed in the room and sometimes came back high or drunk, which can be disturbing for sleep.

Disliked: Not really the nicest place bit old/dinghy but all doesn't really matter as you have al you need, your not there for a romantic getaway. I would stay again.

Liked: awsome location, had a bed next to a radiator so i was very warm which was good, met some cool people, red light ladies outside the rooms, coffee shops everywhere around you, 10% discount at the irish bar and highway coffee shop. wok to walk next door. no curfew, this hostel just does the perfect job at a good price

Disliked: i had to leave

Liked: Location is excellent, great discount at the bar downstairs. Weather was crap, but it was Still nice and warm in the hostel.

Disliked: the doors on the toilets and showers were a bit weird & dodgy. Probly cause of how old the building is.

Liked: I thought it was very central to everything we wanted to see. Some of the staff (mainly the one Dutch guy) was super helpful while everyone else struggled to speak to us and didnt give any information. The first guy completely screwed up our directions while the other was very vague when asked what could we do in Amsterdam. The showers were cleaned daily as well as the toilet area too. There are plenty of restaurants to dine out!

Disliked: When we first arrived, we were told to go to one room that was completely disgusting. There was trash all over the floor and people's clothes and luggage everywhere. Additionally, there was a horrible smell too. The second room was much better except there was a guy who vomited in his bed!! I know the hostel had nothing to do with that, but it wasn't a great image to see when you first arrive. Our stay was okay, but my first impression is what stuck out in my mind.

Liked: Great location, there is wi-fi, a lot of ppl passing by, and the staff is friendly. You also get some discounts with the price, and there is a possibility to keep your things in a safe locker.

Disliked: Some crazy people are staying here :D Not a big problem, just a bit strange :)

Liked: the place of the hostel is really perfect. you can walk the best attractions in a few mınutes. so you do not need to spend money on transportation.

Disliked: It was generally good. nothing irritated me so much.

Liked: The location was excellent, which was the reason we chose this hostel and it did not disappoint. I was slightly apprehensive before coming because some of the reviews are brutal, but I can fault little for the time I was there. I found the toilets and the showers to be clean. Receptionists were extremely helpful and friendly. 25% off food in the pub downstairs was good, toasties in the morning were nice and cheap. Good sized lockers which we stored our to hold alls in. Over all I felt it was good value for money.

Disliked: The showers flooded quite quickly making it difficult to get dressed in there; the plugs could probably do with being unblocked. The doors made quite a lot of noise as they had to slam shut and if you didn't shut them properly an alarm beeped until you did..i understand this is for security reasons but by trying to be quiet and considerate you then set the alarm off ha. Was quite noisy but that's what you expect for such a central hostel, this is more an observation that a dislike. All in all not a lot to complain about.

Liked: Stayed here in a group of 12 mates, Had a wicked time hostle is very laid back no complaints and discounts in the bar are good 25% off for staying there. also happy hour is good 5euros for 2 pints of Hineken. Location was right in the middle of every thing a few doors down from the Winston Acadamy where there is always a Rave happneing everynight. Stay here you wont be disapointed

Disliked: Group of 12 only given 1 room card need to buy the otheres for 5euros. however you do get it back

Liked: It was nice, it was everything we needed in basic accomodation.

Disliked: Needs an indoor smoking area somewhere, we also had some issues with beds and who was sleeping where. Nothing too dramatic but inconvienient to say the least.

Liked: The location is great! The rooms are ok, with large lockers provided. They are flexible with the check out on quiet times which is a plus. It is kept clean too. The discount at the bar downstairs works great, we ended up eating there everyday, out of laziness but of course as well as good food and quite good prices for the central location.

Disliked: There is no common room, therefore it is very difficult to meet people. Also, there is no kitchen, kettle or a fridge which is a shame. The people in our room where not the friendliest and around 40 years old - not very party orientated but it all depends what you are looking for. There is no breakfast included but the pub thing works good. People complained for the loud bells outside but they do have the charm! It is a good place at a very decent price for the location. The staff is not the friendliest but that doesn't spoil it much. If you are there with your friends than this is a safe, clean and good inexpensive hotel but would not recommend to anyone travelling on their own or wanting to meet loads of cool people.

Disliked: 30 min internet is 1 euro. stuff is not very very friendly. my bed was not ready and he said go and take a clean one. there was none :) if u like sleeping till late afternoon its so noisy street.

Liked: Good location within the red light district, close to lots of bars. They also had lockers which were big enough to fit a suitcase in, and the 25% off at the bar next door was really good value. The reception staff were really helpful.

Disliked: The showers weren't great, and the common room was only really small which made it harder to meet more people. There were no electricity sockets in the rooms.
