The staff were really cool, and i like the way you can go to the bar at either the uptown or downtown one when you are staying in either. It is located near good pubs and clubs and you can get trams to the coffee shops, red light district etc.

I liked how they hired travelers, so that they constantly had new youth working there. I also enjoyed the set up of the interconnections between the: tv room, bar, computers, kitchen, and outdoors. Also liked the comfortability of smoking in the kitchen and outside, wish they still let people smoke in the bar though.

The bar was great, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, the others I met at the hostel were cool, free wi-fi!

Great Location right by the Park. Excellent atmosphere in the bar/breakfast area - they play really great music. It could be cleaner.

Good location near the Leidsplein (good for clubs!) and Vondelpark. Free rollerblades from reception. The bar downstairs stays open and busy until late, and you can smoke there (not that I'd normally smoke, but when in Amsterdam....). Pretty good beds and showers.

Atmosphere, loved the queen size bunk beds! Staff was great-- so helpful.

Good hostel - nice place to hang out.
Location is great and quiet - has bar in basement which is good - but not too noisy like some hostels.
Facilities are a bit basic - and snorers were in my room - do they follow me about.
Would def. stay here again when in AMS

Excellent buffet breakfast. Free internet very useful! Close to the Leidseplein, only a few minutes walk. Quiet area, however, and because the bar is in the basement, rooms are quiet too.
