Disliked: Overpriced compared to other places in Kathmandu. No free wifi.

Liked: We found Acme Guest House to be clean, comfortable and friendly. The staff were very helpful and able to assist with any sort of travel queries. We were also very impressed with the Guest House's immediate communications confirming our booking and arranging an airport pick up.

Liked: It's in a good location with a nice garden. Night staff was pleasant.

Disliked: Two nights we had no hot water, we were not given the room that we booked and the staff was unhelpful when trying to locate lost items. The rooms were not comfortable and quite cold. There was no common area to meet other travelers and there was no book exchange.

Liked: Staff were nice, free tea on arrival. Central location.

Disliked: Basic rooms, economy double window faced wall so quite dark. I think pricier rooms may be better. Central location means it can be noisy (eg. music).

Liked: Location is right next to the fun section of Thamel, yet is set back from the road so it was quiet. My two rooms were both spacious with comfortable beds. Cheapest breakfast in town (Rs. 50 for two eggs and toast) is at Just Juice in the alley between the hotel and the street. Internet was probably the fastest I've had in Nepal.

Disliked: Avoid room 102 on the ground floor -- really moldy carpet.

Liked: Acme is right in the centre of Thamel and walking distance to the tourist bus station. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and eager to help with any queries.

Liked: the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, right in the centre of Thamel, however, down a lane, so away from the noise. The garden facing room was large with a nice balcony and hot showers. We will be staying there again when we are back in Kathmandu.

Liked: The Acme Hostel is set in a quiet location right in the centre of Thamel, Kathmandu's busy tourist area in Nepal. We found the staff to be very friendly and most helpful.Located in the middle of a shopper's paradise. Opportunity to meet other travellers.We had a very enjoyable stay. .

Liked: It actually had hot showers not just the advertisment! From a Nepal budget hotel the location is good, the showers are hot, the toilets are not the best but no worse than any other budget hotel. overall good

Liked: A wonderful place to stay in the heart of Thamel. All the staff are helpful and very friendly. The garden is especially delightful for sitting with dinner or even a pot of refreshing Nepali tea. Im happy to recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Kathmandu on a budget.. Its total value for money,and a great place to stay.
