Liked: Best value I ever experienced! Free wifi, a big rooftop-terrace just outside the dorm, helpful staff and hot water.

Disliked: The bathroom could most defnetly need a scrub or two, but that goes for most shared toilets so.

Liked: Location. But there are plenty more guesthouses in the area that won't try to overcharge you.

Disliked: WARNING!! Be careful if you book this hostel. It states on their website and on the hostelbookers website that there is a free airport pickup. I emailed the hostel to confirm the time we were arriving at and that we requested the free pickup (although they did not reply). When we met the driver we were again told that this was free. When we went to pay our bill on the last night (as we had a 6am bus to catch) they tried to overcharge us for the room. We had to go to come back later with the email from hostelbookers showing the balance we owed for the room. They eventually let us settle the bill at this price. The following morning when we went to check out they demanded 500 rupees from us for the airport pickup we got the first day. We nearly missed our bus because he delayed us so long trying to charge us for this 'free' service and would not unlock the door to let us leave and claimed that his driver was new and didnt understand english when he confirmed with us that it was free. They should not be quoting a price on hostelbookers if they are going to try and charge you more on arrival. They should also say that the airport pickup is not infact free and give you a quote in advance is they are going to charge. Sheets were dirty, toilet leaking and no lockers in dorm and only one key between all dorm mates so couldnt leave valuables in room. As backpackers we have seen many hostels but have never had such poor customer service.

Liked: Good and helpful staff, big rooms, free internet wireless and free computers to use, good value for money.

Disliked: - location is good (in Tamel) but the hotel is a little bit hidden; - hot water is not working all the time; - staff people are mixing the reservation. We came there with 2 bookings and we got only one for the first night and second day we got our initial reservation. More people had this problem.

Liked: Staff members are really cool and helpful. Attended to all my queries and demands with a huge smile on their faces. They'd even thank me for asking since some of them are studying tourism,,,

Liked: The house is cold but the warm welcome you get from the incredibly friendly staff totall makes up for it! The manager is very knowledgeble and helpful. Location is perfect, right in the heart of Thamel.

Liked: Staff were very friendly, Free wifi was great on the lower floors, Location could not be better, right in the heart of Thamel.

Disliked: Rooms were not very clean, especially bathrooms. Lots of dampness and mould. Stains on the towels and sheets. But hey it was quite cheap compared to other places on hostelbookers.

Liked: It smack in the Thamel area.

Disliked: The have no idea about bookings for ekstra nights and so on. We askede for a romm 2 more nights in the evening and they said ok. Next morning suddenly they had no room. This happend to others than us.

Liked: I had a great stay here. The rooms were tidy, big enough for the number of people, there was hot water for the shower and a nice roof terrace. The staff is really friendly and helpful, great guys! The free airport pick-up was also really great, especially since the beds are already so cheap.

Disliked: It would have been nice if there had been lockers in the room for your valuables.

Liked: Not much after the way we were treated.

Disliked: We booked a dorm room for 4, bathroom ensuite. When we arrived we were taken to a room with 2 beds and told it was a better room. We were also told we could only have one matress to put on the floor, meaning two people would have to sleep together. We were refused any discount on the basis that the room we were getting now was "better." It was clear they had booked the room to others at a higher price and did not care what became of us and our reservation. Consequently I spent the night on the floor in my sleeping bag because they never brought the mattress or any extra pillow or blanket.

Liked: Very cheap, good location, and friendly staff. Airport pickup was very nice touch especially since the bed was so cheap anyway.

Disliked: Overall very good for the price so bear that in mind when reading the comments and looking at the rating!!! The airport pick up driver was more than happy to let one of the people asking for tips try to carry your bag when you arrived (it's like 30 meters to the car, don't let people carry it). No individual safes in the dorm, items must be left at reception. Shower did not have hot water all the time and the main nozzle did not work so you had to sit under the lower nozzle. Water was yellow once. Staff did not seem to know taxi prices for places (said Thamel - Airport would be 500rs, cost me 200rs without horrible haggling etc.)

Liked: Great place. Nice staff, free internet and definitely good value for money in Kathmandu where everything seems to get expensive fast

Disliked: Only minor issue is the bar close to the guesthouse. Music can be heard at some of the rooms but it stops at 11 or 12

Liked: Good value for money - especially liked the free internet, although power dictated usage! Location spot on.

Disliked: Cleanliness and security in the dorm room an issue and bathrooms in other rooms in need of a clean: toilet didn't work in double room and water STANK!!

Liked: GOOD guest courtesy provided by all the staff working .well trained staff to handle any kind of queries . and provide assistance for the requirements and need of the clients . time to time and up to date service provided by the service staff food of choice is well provided according to the menu and dish selected featuring colour taste and texture.

Disliked: well non as such as till now i am having a fine stay and have meet a lot of people and made quiet a new friends

Liked: Super friendly personnel, always ready to give you the best deal, right in the heart of Thamel, a quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of a stressful city, good internet, hot water, a place that leaves no wishes open. I stayed 2 weeks at this most hospitable place, and would stay longer....

Liked: The place is ok, very affordable, but you honestly get what you pay for. I basically only extended my stay because the staff made me feel at home but the place really needs some work!!!!The staff is the best and extreamly helpful but the place is very run down, the bathrooms are not up to standard.

Liked: If you're looking for a cheap hotel with nothing more, then this is the place to be. But for a very little more money you can find a lot of other hotels that are less boring and much better equiped. Overall not bad but not special. Staff is helpfull but sometimes very agressive in approach (not only my experience).
