Liked: We spent four nights in Riad Aicha and it was definitely our favorite place in Morocco. Back to Europe, we already miss it. Where to start from? First, the staff is amazing. Loek, the owner, is so welcoming and helpful, always around with his smile and patience. He showed us the area, helped us navigating the way to Jmaa-El-Fna square, gave us precious advices on how to organize our stay and use public transport, and helped us organizing our departure. Karim and Zara, the hotel staff, met us with unparalleled kindness. They keep the house spotlessly clean; make excellent breakfast and fantastic Moroccan tea and Karim cooks for dinner the most delicious Moroccan dishes you can imagine. A must! Second, the house is unbelievably beautiful. It has been renovated two years ago to become a master piece of the interior design. All rooms are decorated differently and they are more beautiful in reality than on pictures. Colors of the house are simply unique, all rooms, the common areas and the terrace are furnished with attention to every little detail combining the owner's Dutch originality and personality with the Moroccan architectural style, traditions and atmosphere. Moreover, rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and have big and very comfortable beds (that is not the case in most places), original Moroccan bathroom (with all toiletry you need), air conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi with very good connection. Although the windows look at the courtyard, as all other riads, it is very quiet and you can relax equally inside your room and in the common area (near the fireplace in the evening, for instance). Location is also very good – in the old part of the Medina, walking distance from all historical and cultural sites inside the Medina, and also two minutes from Bab Aïlen from where you can get outside the old city and take a taxi or public transport to other areas of Marrakech (both means of transport being very cheap - 20 Dirham for a taxi to the train station or 4 Dirham for the bus ticket). To sum up – we enjoyed every single moment of our stay there. We will be back again. Thank you, Loek!
