Liked: We stayed here for two days at the end of January and OMG do I wish we stayed longer. This Riad was fabulous and so accommodating. The service we received was very personal and all of our needs were meet with a smile. Although we couldn't speak French or Arabic, the staff were courteous and were definitately the most honest people that we met in Marrakech. A lot of our translations were done using the internet which was funny. The receptionist went out of his way to be a perfect host and even when he was off duty he still took us around to see both the old & new Marrakech without expecting anything. The Riad was situated in the middle of the old Marrakech with a brisk 20-30 minute was in either direction you go right for D’Jemaa-el-Fna Square & left for the new Marrakech for the Shopping Plaza and various upmarket shops & resturants. There are many local shops around that you can also explore which will save you being ripped off in the souks like we were. There is also the most beautiful spa nearby called Hammam de La Rosa which we were given a tour of but we didn't have enough time to use, there is also a lovely terraced restaurant called Terrasse des Epices nearby which was recommended to us for lunch by the Riad, prices were reasonable too. All in all the Riad was excellent and very very beautiful on the inside. The winding alleyways and the general area that the riad is situated don't look like much on the outside but the inside is seriously lovely and very peaceful, and it looks exactly like the pictures. You have all the standard mod cons of any decent hotel such as a hair dryer and an iron is provided on request. You do have the use of wifi throughout the Riad but I didnt bring a laptop to experience if connectivity was any good. Free bottles of water are provided daily in your room and you have a safe to keep your personal belongings. The bathroom was amazing and I really missed the big clay bath that I had in my room. The variety of breads that I had for breakfast and the freshly squeezed orange juice were equally nice but I must say that if you have a preference for breakfast you should ask and it will be provided to you. Even in January we were able to sunbath on the roof terrace as it was situated perfectly for direct sunlight. All in all this experience was wonderful and I can't praise the staff at this Riad enough. One word of advice I would say is if you only speak english like us try and learn the most common phrases in French for things like food and water or get a dictionary as it will help with the communication process. Room rates at this Riad are very very reasonable and for the service that we received the Riad was great value for money and I will definitely be returning.

Disliked: Not necessarily a dislike but I would just like to point out that there was no tv in my bedroom which was perfect for a good nights sleep however, in the lounge area which was hardly used by any guests while I stayed, there is a decent flat sceen tv with a huge variety of channels that can be viewed anytime of day/ night.
