Liked: Clean and well located. It's a genuine Moroccan Riad, which is pretty hard to find for this price. It gets real hot inside every now and then. Besides, the bathroom could be renovated. But for the rest, I firmly recommand this place ! The staff is helpful and nice. And the roof has been turned into a beautiful terrace, on which you can spend a very peaceful, pleasant and cooling moment after nightfall !

Liked: I liked the location. It was very close to everything. The hostel was beautiful and very clean. I had my own room even though I only paid for a dorm. It was very cheap.

Disliked: It was very difficult to find from the directions and def not walking distance from the train. You have to take a small taxi but that is normal everywhere in Morocco and it only cost 1 euro. I wouldnt really call it a youth backpackers place because there were hardly any guests. There were no computers but they did have wi-fi. The breakfast was ok but not the delicious pancakes served at other hostels, just bread and butter and jam. What I didnt really like that the whole family seems to live there and they eat and stay in the common space. Also they were making so much noise at night I couldnt sleep. Some other guests complained but they didnt really quiet down that much. Also the rooms were very hot. Of course it was the middle of July in the hottest city, but they really should get some fans, because I had to sleep with the windows to the common area open and thats why I could hear the family so much. Also there was a bit of drama. A group of Dutch guys came and they were hungry so they ordered from the plastic menu on the tables 3 portions of the bread and cheese. On the menu it says 3 dirham and there are pictures of just general bread, cheese, jam and butter, and says you get bread and jam or butter or cheese for 3 dirham. After eating the worker tried to charge them 18 dirham, not 9. The manager got involved and she said the 3 dirham is for half portions, but they weren't told this, and they claimed they just ordered 3 of the menu and it doesn't say anything about half portion. She would not budge and made them pay the full price. I do understand that 3 dirham (30 euro cents) is too cheap for what they got but that's what the menu said.

Liked: For the money payed this is a good deal, right near the plaza Djemaa el Fna.

Liked: They helped us organized two excursions outside of Marrakech, were very helpful telling us about the city, and it's so cheap!!

Disliked: Cold showers sometimes!

Liked: After one awful night here they allowed us to cancel our reservation for the next night to go to a different hotel.

Disliked: There was not 24 hr reception. Our train arrived after midnight and the hostel was closed and had to put us in a room of just hard mattresses. There were no pillows or sheets. There was no hot water for showers and no toilet paper. In the morning the inner courtyard was so loud of screaming children you couldn't sleep. Would not recommend hostel. There are cheaper and better hotels right down the street.

Liked: it is a beautiful tradtional riad

Disliked: The bathroom is used for male and female. This is very inconvinent and embrassing.

Liked: nice terrace, gorgeous tiles on the walls, light breakfast included, helpful owner and staff. pretty reasonably price. book online to get a bed with legs. just showing up will get you a mattress.

Disliked: no room in toilet cubicle to sit down without the door flying open. no soap in bathrooms for washing hands. hot water was hard to find.

Liked: Room was very spacious and beds comfortable, good location

Disliked: As a Riad when people are in the centre talking late at night the sound resonates and can get very noisy. Also on the terrace there was a lot of dog wee on the couches.

Liked: This was a great hostel, cheap and I met lots of other travellers. The owner is so lovely and helpful and it is clean and there is hot water, toilet paper and a nice free breakfast. It is a little difficult to find but if you have the address you can ask someone.

Disliked: There is no sign on the street just the number 91 to let you know you're at the right door.

Liked: I liked the Hostel a lot! It was very close to the Jemaa el Fna, the Hostel owner was very friendly and helpful, and bathrooms were good as well. There was always warm water.

Disliked: Some showers did not work well and some of the beds were uncomfortable. But it was all ok for a four night stay.

Liked: Awesome location and layout of hostel. Rooms are super clean and spacious with individual beds, no bunkbeds, ya! Courtyard is awesome place to hang out and the roof top terrace is beautiful.

Disliked: The only thing was the water pressure for the showers, but they were hot, so I cant really complain

Liked: Its cheap,close to the square and souks,very nice owner and a decent roof terrace not mentioned on the website

Disliked: It is a little tricky to find but mainly because I was asking everyone for Riad Zitoune which is a street rather than the Auberge de Jeunesse on Riad Zitoune

Liked: It is close to the square, but it is in this quiet neighborhood behind a school. It's also right next to Earth Café which is a great vegetarian place with good prices.

Liked: the lady who owns the hostel is lovely, she speaks perfect english and is so helpful and caring. we felt very safe staying there as the front door was kept locked and there was no need to hide or lock up valuables. the building is traditionally moroccan and is really nice, the location is great as well, its so close to the main square.

Disliked: its quite difficult to find, especially when being hassled by moroccans who want paying to show you the way, it would have been helpful if it was better signposted.
