Liked: There is an air of cool and calmness about the property which is very welcome in a city this that is the complete opposite.

Disliked: A little more shade on the roof terrace woiuld have been nice. It was high 40s celsius when we visited.

Liked: Beautiful building with a rooftop terrace. Nice breakfast. Staff were friendly.

Disliked: Only one staff member spoke English and he was not at the riad often.

Liked: It was a gorgeous old riad, very traditional, with an extremely friendly staff and a beautiful central courtyard and terrace. Good location a slight bit away from the madness in Djemma el Fna, but still inside the walls.

Disliked: Typical of Moroccan properties, you could hear everything going on in the rest of the house from the room, so it could be hard to sleep in when others are having breakfast. A little tricky to find, but there were signs.

Liked: Dar Al Hamra is perfect for backpackers, solo traveller or couples looking for a cheap room in the Medina. The staff is very friendly and are there 24 hours to answer questions. The room was clean and tidy, it's well worth the price!

Disliked: As others reviews mentioned, this hostel is incredibly quiet to the point where it's boring (I was the only guest in the hostal on that day).

Liked: The hostess is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. There is always a cup of minttea ready if you please.

Disliked: The place is very quite except for the mosque near the riad which has a very loud minaret call at sunset. The place might be a bit hard to find. Please make sure you'll ask a taxidriver to bring you to the Bab Dukala Mosque in the corner you will find a port into a derb, take this derb and then take the first derb to the right, the riad is at the end of the derb.

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at Dar Al Hamra. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, and our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was great in that it was a short walk to the main square, but far enough away that you could have peace and quiet. Breakfast served on the terrace was a great way to start the day.

Liked: Quite and tranquil place to stay. With a proper Moroccan feel while still being very comfortable and very clean. Amazing breakfast each morning (pancakes, coffee, freshly squeezed OJ). Nice private room, big shower. Good location, just a short walk from the main souks and tucked down an alley.

Disliked: Nothing, but if you are planning on meeting people then its not the best place.

Liked: The house was very clean and nice. The staff were very nice and helpfull. The breakfast was the best part of my trip. It was air conditioned room. I diffenitely recommend the place to others visiting Marrakesh.

Liked: all rooms have aircon - heating. The staff are very friendly and helpfull ( Saida makes great tea and breakfast, Ibrahim helped out with everything i needed to know (bus routes, prices, tourist info). The place has just been refurbished to a very good standard keeping with morrocan style. Great plaster decorations throughout, great woodworking, fabrics styling , etc.There is a roof terrace where you can enjoy morning breakfast.They looked after luggage while away for 2 days at Essaouira.very helpfull .

Liked: We ended up staying at this guesthouse for all but one night of our stay in Marrakesh. The staff is friendly, breakfast is terrific, and all of the rooms are very quiet as it is at the end of a derb (alley). Highly recommended.

Liked: the staff were so helpful and attentive. the breakfast is wonderful, the room is big and cleaned every day. the place is a straight 10 minute walk to the main market but it is safe and well worth the money. i would definitely recommend it
