Liked: Very clean and staff were great. Fresh towels and water pressure/heat in the shower was the best I've ever experienced in a hostel.

Disliked: The location is very central however it is VERY difficult to find when you first arrive (once you know where to go this is not a problem). Unfortunately if you ask anyone where the hostel is they will expect money to show you (a staple in Marrakesh) so be aware. They do have a restaurant there but I found it extremely overpriced and poor value for money - I have no idea how my main came to almost EUR 15. Eat out, better atmosphere and value for money. Would still reccomend this hostel to anyone though. A real gem.

Liked: It's a large Riad with some great areas and swimming pool. The internet works well downstairs (not so in the room). The breakfast is very good, as they provide orange juice and strange coffee with a variety of things to eat. The beds are good and there are lookers in the room.

Disliked: The staff are dishonest and lie to customers, they informed me (with the owner right behind) that they have no more 10 bed rooms and wanted to double the price for another type of room. They also constantly gave various different prices to guests, so there were a lot of complaints. Due to this, if you decide to stay there do not book directly with the hostel, but with HOSTELBOOKERS, even if you decide to stay another night, as you will be over changed, go online and book another night with Hostelbookers. Being such a ;large Riad with various areas it was not like a normal friendly smaller Riad, so did not have a homely feel to it. Even though we had lockers in the room, I was not happy that most of the guest always left the room door open for anyone enter day and night.

Liked: My stay was overall enjoyable at Equity Point. The location is great as it was only minutes away from the main square. At one point during my stay, I became ill and was only able to eat bread, which the staff gave me for free.

Disliked: The only thing I did not like was that the shower sprayed everywhere, but I think this is due to the fact that the riad was built so many years ago.

Liked: Beautiful and quiet environment, clean, and close to the action in being near Djeema el Fna! The staff are so friendly and helpful, it really is a welcome home to come back to at the end of a hot long day. Restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced too.

Disliked: Kind of hard to find, without a guide we wouldn't have been able to find it on our own. They advertised free mint tea to hostel guests but apparently you still pay 20dirham per teapot.

Liked: It felt very safe. It also was rather fancy for a hostel. It had a pool and they made our beds everyday. We also had a cooking class at the hostel, which was fun. It was very well decorated. Also, they took credit cards.

Disliked: I didn't like that you had to leave a 50 Dirham deposit for the keys. When we left we had extra money, that we didn't need. It was hard to find, because the instructions they gave us started at the Cafe Argon, which was blown up a few months ago. After we figured out where it was, we didn't have too many issues finding it on our own. Most ppl at the hostel, however, paid a guide.

Liked: Equity Point is absolutely beautiful. After a long day in the souks and marketplaces of marrakesh, this is a lovely oasis to return to. The riad is like a castle- beautiful mosaics, ceramics, light fixtures, etc. The pool is too cold for much off season use, but it is still really nice to lounge in the courtyard with the hostels cats. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous with a great view and is the perfect place to sit in the evening and listen to the muezzin call the evening prayers. Everything is spotlessly clean too, I´ve stayed at Equity Point multiple times, and it definetely feels like home. Additionally, Equity will set you up on excursion trips to the desert or to the falls. These are priced the same as outside services and they will arrange to have someone pick you up from the hostel. If you´re booking a general Moroccan adventure, it is easiest to do it through them. (950 md for a three day trip with a night in a hotel, a night in a tent in the desert, a camel caravan, and breakfast and dinner. Lunch is not included, nor are many of the guides who will take you through the kasbahs. Expect to pay these guides 20-30md each) By the way, if you´re coming from the airport, do not pay more than 60md for the ride to the square. Dont let the taxi drivers convince you otherwise. You can tell him (and everyone else who heckles you) that you`ve been to Morocco before (even if you havent)

Disliked: The staff is a bit overwhelmed, I think, and kind of vague and detached. The lobby is always packed with people as they do check in and can be really wearisome if you´re waiting to ask a question or if you have just come in from a long day on the road. Also, the breakfast offering isn´t very good. The tea varies from too sweet to waaaay to sweet, many mornings being undrinkable, and the bread is ho-hum. Also, the hostel offers spa services. Having done both a hammam and massage in town and at the hostel, I would strongly advise you do the hammam in town. The experience is far more authentic, more enjoyable, and a much better deal for your money (equity massage and hammam=350md, normal hammam and berber massage approx 70md)

Liked: Absolutely beautiful! Can't believe the value for money. Incredible. Kept returning to Equity Point. Went back four times in one month. Loved it there.

Disliked: Asked for a wake up call and they forgot. They laundry services are also over priced. Had to take down my own clothes and they were still wet.

Liked: Very beautiful. The location is very central.

Disliked: My room didnt have an airconditioner. I booked a female dorm and I found a man sleeping there on the second night. When I went to complain about it, the reception said the male guest is sleeping and we should not wake him up. I didn´t mind a male guest in my room but it obviously shows that some form of security is lacking. The door of my room was also always opened. When we asked at the reception for suggestions on where to eat, we were only told to eat at the hostel restaurant. The staff at the reception were not really very helpful.
