Liked: The location was amazing, right in the centre of the medina and a couple of minutes walk from the main square. The riad had a really authentic feel, great views from the roof terrace and a great place to meet people the same age and mindset. Also free internet.

Disliked: No major complaints but they don't serve any food other than breakfast, and although they do serve beers it seemend to be on random nights only so not guaranteed. There's a gorgeous place though if you want a frink called the piano bar at the jardine hotel (road behind Club Med). Also a couple of people got bitten by bedbugs but most people were fine.

Liked: The riad had very spacious communal areas, free internet and breakfast! Room was clean, but smaller than what the photos on the website may show

Disliked: Not the fault of the hostel... but communal areas such as the pool area can get noisy even at 1am! However, the hostel assistant did ask the other guests to be quiet eventually

Liked: It's got a pool to cool of in the heat of the day. But then again if you come all the way to Marrakech to sit inside a hostel and play around then your wasting your time here.

Disliked: The place is way overpriced, the rooms are hotter then the temperature outside making it nearly impossible to sleep. I saw other people walking around in the morning bitten by bed bugs and the bathroom doors don't lock securely so someone can easily walk in right when your doing your business. How this place can such great reviews is beyond me. After the first night we found Riads for half the price with A/C, and friendly helpful staff. Also don't bother booking the tours that are advertised at the hostel for the Sahara trips or any other. It's one company that does it and they have numerous sellers around town. If you buy your tour from another seller you can often haggle and get it a lot cheaper, we saved over 200Dh for the Sahara tour where as in the hostel just charged you the fixed price.

Liked: Nice hostel with a great pool to escape the 40 degree heat. Very easy to meet other people.

Disliked: some staff made you book extra nights on the internet rather than at the front desk. They also closed the roof top area at 12 pm.

Liked: lovely building and decor, very clean and relaxing

Disliked: One member of staff claimed to have no change when I asked for the deposit for my locker key back. I explained that I was on the way to the airport, this was all the money I had and that he would have to pay the taxi driver if he had no change. Suddenly he had change! When spending the day being ripped off by locals you don't need it from hostel staff aswell.

Liked: I like the amenities it had. Out of all the hostels I stayed throughout my trip this was the best one. The terrace was great and it had an awesome pool. The staff was great they really made you feel welcomed and had a pretty good breakfast which they came and served to you.

Disliked: Nothing really, maybe just that it was easier to find.

Liked: I've travelled to many parts of the world and this has got to be the best hostel I have ever stayed at. I've never heard of a hostel with a swimming pool and to add to all this the safety and security this place offered. I was amazed when a fellow traveller left his iPAD (yes iPAD) on charge with his docking station in full view all day at the chill out area, only for him to return later in the evening and casually start using it again. I couldn't believe it that nobody had stolen it! To add to all this the amazing multilingual staff. They made our stay extra special and a special thank you has to go to Zakaria, Hassan and Hussain. If you need anything meet the Equity Point Concierge. They will get you anything you need and help you with any problems you have. Thank you soo much fguys!!!

Liked: Beautiful property, beds big and comfortable, location amazing and the pool was beautiful. Overall an amazing riad to stay at. The breakfast was AMAZING! And its the only place where you can hooka that we knew of. Met cool and interesting people.

Disliked: THe receptionist people were very disorganized and had nothing on record. I found cheap deals at this place on hostelbookers which they werent aware were being offered and tried to charge me the full fare. Print out and bring your confirmation with you when you check in.

Liked: The staff was really nice and the breakfast was actually pretty good. It has a pretty interior. All in all it's a nice place to stay in Marrakech and I'd come back.

Disliked: It's really really really hard to find, so it can be intimidating if you're arriving late at night. The directions online should be better. There aren't enough lockers for everyone.

Liked: Fantastic hostel! I would stay here again for sure. The pool was amazing after a long day exploring, the beds were comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms were super clean, breakfast was delicious (fresh orange juice, coffee, pancakes) and the location was ideal. We felt safe, and enjoyed the beautifully decorated common room, upstairs bar and the free wifi. You won't be disappointed if you stay here!

Disliked: There was no key to enter the hostel, or the rooms - people could walk in and out freely. However, it still felt safe and the staff desk is right at the front door, with 24 hr reception. Also, directions on hostelbookers were not great at all, I would recommend looking it up yourself!

Liked: Fabulous swimming pool! Rooms were clean and had good fans to keep cool. Bathrooms were modern and tasteful. Bar on the terrace was gorgeous and the location was ideal for the souks and the place jmaa el fna.

Disliked: Booked 4 beds in a 6 bed dorm for 4 girls. When we arrived we were told that there were two rooms with 3 beds in each so one of us would have to sleep in a room with two men we didn't know, which I personally found unfair and misleading. However we were allowed to occupy both rooms after the men left for the following night.

Liked: This is a very nice hostel, you can tell that it used to be a fancy hotel. It's a beautiful building and the beds are really comfortable. The pool is amazing on the hot Moroccan days.

Disliked: The staff is only okay, they aren't very helpful. I had no locker for my room and when I asked what I should do with my passport, computer, etc. they just kept saying that nothing had ever been stolen before. But, of course, they still wouldn't be responsible if anything got stolen. They have a bar on the roof but one day it was closed, one day they didn't have any beer, and the other days they kept coming up and making us be quiet and they kick you out at midnight and you have to go to the pool are, where all the bedrooms are around and people there are disturbed.

Liked: Equity Point is a very good place to stay. Location is about 3 minutes walk from the Djemma el Fnaa square. The rooms are very good - spacious and well decorated with comfortable beds and pillows. The common area is relaxed and comfortable. 2 free internet terminals. The resturant is on the roof with a bar that opens around 8pm. Beers cost 25 Dirham, The rooftop terrace is excellent and a very good place to watch the sunsent and hear the evening prayers while smoking a Shisha (30 Dirhams). Breakfast is good (orange juice, coffee, bread, cheese and pancakes). It also has a good size pool in a courtyard which makes the place feel far more like a hotel than a hostel. Good place to meet people with a relaxed atmosphere. One very large drawback - bedbugs. My partner received over 100 bites from bed bugs crawling all through her bed, we had to spray insect repellenet several times. When we notified the staff they were very accomodating, offering to relocate us to another room. Given that bedbug bites itch for about 10 days after however, it would be better for the hostel to take fumigation seriously and just eradicate the problem. I can see that bedbugs has been an issue in reviews on this site before - so it appears that equity point has been aware of this problem previosuly. If they can clear up this problem, they will have a perfect hostel. My advice is to examine your bed and mattress very carefully the first night.

Disliked: Bedbug infestation.

Liked: This place is in most parts like a hotel. It has free internet, beautiful places to spend time like a nice pool and roofterrace with restaurant. Staff is polite and rooms are clean. What makes it a hostel is the fact that there is no locks at the doors, showers are cold and it is situated in very small street where some people might feel a bit unsave. If you are looking for an early goodnight sleep it might be hard because walls are really thin and young people are talking and drinking till late. I would definetly return to this hostel if the price will be as low as now, 20 euros per night. They have very big, free and save lockers that all your luggage will fit in your room.
