Customer reviewTraditional Riad in a central location near the main square. Thierry, the host, is helpful, friendly and accommodating. Will be recommending to any friends visiting Marrakech. |

Customer reviewThierry, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. We really liked the authenticity of the riad and the fact that it's not centrally located meant that we saw more of Marrakech during our walk to and from the Medina. We would recommend this hostel. |

Customer reviewWhat a great stay! Your host, Thierry, acts as both host and cultural liason: he took us to the square to show us the way, gave us a map of the area, reserved hamman baths for us, welcomed us on arrival with some mint tea, and was able to answer lots of our questions we had about life in Marrakech. (He´s fluent in English, French, some Arabic, some ???) Staying at his riad is like staying in a good friend´s home, and I would book him again at a moment´s notice. Marrakech was made wonderful because of this hostal. Our room was clean, colorful and full of character--perfect for a couple on holiday. Breakfast, served on the terrace from which you can enjoy the suny breeze and see the mosque tower, atlas mountains, and tops of other houses, was fresh and delicious: crepes, frsh fruit, orange juice, bread, jam, and coffee. The price is quite reasonable, and although there are other riads closer to the square, riad ghallia is a safe 10-15min walk through interesting sights. In fact, I actually like being able to wander to the square rather than just live on it because I felt like I got to see more. When exploring such a foriegn city as Marrakech, it was great to have such a welcoming and helpful host and to be able to come home each night to a relaxing stay. |

Ian StenlundI couldn't have hoped for a better experience than staying at the Riad Ghallia. You're host, Thierry, is extremely welcoming and knows all about the tourist and local life in Marrakech. You should remember that a Riad is a Guesthouse, and at these places the owner lives at the Riad, so s/he is inviting you into their home. And you will not find a host to equal Thierry! Very clean with a cozy decor, beautiful terrace with a panoramic view of the Medina, filling breakfast, and kind-hearting fellow guests. |

Maggie WicksWe had a wonderful stay. On the first day we were very lost and Thierry, the owner, walked through Marrakech to find us. He gave us so much information and tips on how to bargain and where to visit. The hostel is very beautiful and our stay was really relaxing. |

Customer reviewAbsolutely without a doubt the best place we stayed in Morocco. A wonderful Riad with lots of style and charm and a fantastic host who just about doubles as a guide. Very friendly and with the added bonus of two adorable helpers- a dog and a cat to keep you company. |

Customer reviewThe riad owner Thierry was extremely welcoming and hospitable and showed us where to go in the city, organised trips and offered excellent meals. Nothing was too much trouble for him. A warm family atmosphere. The rooms were very well decorated, comfortable and clean. Thierry tooks us to the souks and showed us best places to eat. Very close to the city centre and souks. There were games and things for children to do. We had use of all the facilities of a home. I cannot fault the welcome, riad or place in any way and would only recommend a stay there. |
