Customer reviewSorry, but we want to write it in german to explain our situation better: Das Hostel liegt in einer sehr dunklen und abgelegen kleinen Seitenstrasse, die man trotz wegbeschreibung niemals gefunden hätte, und schongar nicht zwei Frauen allein unterwegs in dem Stadtviertel "Medina"! Das Personal schien äußerst nett und bemüht, verrieten uns aber nicht, dass jede angebotene Flasche Wasser zusätzlich kostet! Die Zimmer waren nur oberflächlich sauber und es war feucht (und roch auch dementsprechend)! Wir bekamen nicht saubere frische Handtücher, sondern offensichtlich benutzte! Was alles akzeptabel wäre, wenn wir und zwei andere Gäste nicht bestohlen worden wären! Es wurde eine große summe Geld gestohlen und es stellte sich heraus, dass das Personal beim reinigen der Zimmer das Geld entwendet hat! Daraufhin fanden wir uns in einer extrem brenzligen und angsterregenden Situation wieder! Im Endeffekt bekamen wir das gestohlene Geld vom Personal zurück und auch das Geld für die schon bezahlten Nächte, da wir uns unter den Umständen nicht mehr sicher fühlten und das Hostel vorzeitig verlassen mussten. Marrakesch ist tagsüber schon Abenteuer genug, deshalb empfehlen wir es nicht auch noch, dass zwei junge Frauen nachts allein durch die Medina laufen, denn das ist ein wahrer Spießroutenlauf (und wir sind eher der alternativen Studentengruppe zuzuordnen)! Ein Hotel 10min Fußweg außerhalb der Medina für 2€ mehr die Nacht, ließ uns sicherer schlafen. |

David KnapikIt was a nice tranquil getaway from the hectic pace of the Marrakech Medina. The staff were absolutely wonderful and made us mint tea all the time. Breakfast was ace as well: yummy bread, fresh orange juice, coffee, mint tea and tasty pancakes. |

Isabel BaumannThe staff is very friendly and help you a lot. You can eat very well in the hostel. Everything is clean and perfectly decorated. Most of the riads have a terrasse. The only problem is that there is no central reception and if you arrive at anonther time that they expected there might be no one there. The hostel was very difficult to find and its in a very dark street if you arrive in the night as we did. So the reception should be better organized and there should be an indication to the main riad at drb dabachi. |
