Liked: Located inside the Medina with easy access to most important sights in Fes. The place has excellent character, decorated mostly in the traditional Moroccan style. Very comfortable rooms and facilities. The owner and his wife spent time with us and were very friendly and helpful.

Liked: Nicely located near (approx 10 min walk) Bab Boujloud. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Very nice rooftop terrace for breakfast or just to enjoy views over medina. Very clean inside. Towels, bedlinen included - in many places you should pay for those extra money. Host can offer you guide services if you want, we didn't and still got a little map of medina and suggestions what to see and where to eat in medina. Car rental possibility - we even got a car with authomatic transmission! Car parking approx 100m from the house but it's OK and safe. Truly recommend this place.

Disliked: The only thing is that at least in quadriple room there was neither wardrobe nor clothes rack.

Liked: If you are choosing between hotel or riad choose the last one! That’s is really authentic place with a charming atmosphere. I advise you to take a taxi, it costs only 10 drhm (1 euro), fast and easy. Location is perfect, it’s quite and safe. In the same time it’s 5 minutes away from medina. The riad designed by the owner himself. Najib (the owner) will meet you in his outstanding amiable manner. Nagib is really communicative so you can be sure that while you are drinking mint tea you will have a great talk with him. All rooms are spacious, with big beds and bathrooms, everything is very clean. All in all, you can feel a unique attraction of Morocco in every detail of Dar Kenza!

Liked: The service:I forgot something at this riad, and the owner, Najib, packed it up nicely and sent it to me overnight when I contacted him - talk about helpful service! I like to consider myself to be an independent and trouble-free traveler, but it's nice to know that your host will genuinely try to help if something unforeseen happens when you're travelling abroad. More than that, Najib, is a very sociable guy who actively seeks to make his guests feel welcomed. He was the only host during my time in Morocco to set out a huge plate of fruit as part of the welcome, in addition to really good cookies (the best of all the places I stayed). The room:Nice large space with a comfortable divan and armchair for relaxing. The room faced into the common area, which means that it can be noisy in the morning at breakfast time (if you like to sleep in, like me). It also means that you can hear the TVs from the other rooms. Oh, and the bed in my room was a bit squeaky, so turn up the TV if you plan on making bed squeak ;)The riad:Very charming common area. The rooftop terrace was also nice, although the hanging laundry detracts somewhat from the overall appeal. The location is a bit of a walk to the main market area, but it's good if you like to wander and catch glimpses into the daily lives of the locals.

Disliked: There was a slight mildew smell after showering.
