Liked: Beautiful! A cool, clean oasis of calm in the heart of the medina! simply but so tastefully decorated. Amazing bathroom. Excellent housekeeping (beware the untidy! You will be tidied!) Relaxed and comfortable. Breakfast in the sun on the roof terrace - a fabulous way to start the day before hitting the jewellery/leather/music shops, or indeed the beach! totally safe and secure. Guests have a front door key and nobody could get in without one, so we gave up locking the room, especially as our windows and shutters were open most of the time! Rather close to a mosque, so a wake up call at dawn is unavoidable! Take earplugs if that is a problem!

Liked: It's right in the middle of the Medina, easy to stroll around. With Portulgese design, the room is clean and decorated with special lamps and rugs.

Liked: Staid over xmas 2007 and was the best place/location in my 21 days around morocco, def worth the very small extra to pay for the rooftop room overlooking the sea and medina, staff were extremely friendlly and nice especially as we spoke no french/arabic and only australian!

Liked: The staff were fantastic really accomodating and very very helpfull. Rooms cleaned every day beds really comfortable. The breakfast on the sun terrace... looking out over the Medina and toward the sea ....priceless. I loved the cultural and rustic charm of the Riad...sitting inside or outside room. The Medina can be quite noisy but I felt our area very quiet. Incredible value for money and I will be planning a return trip soon and most definately stay at the Riad Lalla.

Liked: Excellent location, although as with all of Essaouira very confusing to find at night. Lovely and peaceful terrace and reception area. Would definitely recommend.

Liked: good location, however the entrance was not clearly indicated, but once you crossed the gate you were in a tiny paradise. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, nice terrasse overlooking the medina and the sea. Very relaxing place.

Liked: Its setting, the people, the room. Everything. The only bad thing is that it was difficult to find as it is not well marked and it sets back in this dark kind of shady looking area. But once you enter, it is like paradise.
