The façade has recently been refurbished following the traditional designs, and we have also added a suite from which guests can take advantage of the wonderful views toward the medina and the mountains that surround the city.

At Dar el Moualim our main concern has been to follow faithfully the architectural style of the historical city of Chaouen. There is an andalusi style throughout from the house main gate to the façade colour and the two sloping roofs.

Your comfort is important to us and to ensure you get a good night's sleep, our beds have the best mattresses, with two different pillows (more and less thick); feather duvets to fight against the cold winter nights and 100% cotton bed linen.

The more you stay at the hotel the less you will pay your stay.

Accommodation Information

We have two luxury apartments and a suite available. Our apartments comprise of a bedroom with a double bed (1,50 x 2,00 m.) and another bedroom with two single beds (1,05 x 2,00 m.).

The apartments also have a fireplace in the sitting room, a space equipped for cooking and a bathroom. The apartments are very warm, recreating the traditional environment of the old mountain city through their decoration and inner spaces. In these apartments one can live the area with the smells and sounds coming from the streets and the light that come in through the windows. No doubt it is a singular experience.

The suite has a bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a kitchen area and a bathroom. An inner stair goes up to a special terrace which provides an astonishing view of the medina.

Both of the apartments and the suite are fully equipped, with heating, satellite TV, CD-radio player and table games. We have tried to recreate the Chaouen traditions, but with total comfort.

Location Information

The house is located in the 'Al-andalus' area, five minutes from Uta Hammam Square and close to one of the entrances to the medina, Bab El Souk.
