Liked: It is not in the Kotor downtown but there are nice beaches not so far for the property that you can lost if you just stay in the downtown. The place is a college residence during the two semesters and then in summer it becomes a place to backpackers. If you want to live for some days a socialist paradise, you cant loose that oportunity. Blanquets and towels are ok. Nevertheless, the place is not clean, and it seems as nobody takes care of the property. Some of the stuff is going to ignore you, some others are gonna be friendly with you. Anyway if you choose it you are going to live a Montenegro experience. And who cares, you pay just nothing.

Disliked: Lack for cleaning. It looks as a socialist prison. For the prize you pay it is ok, but only for adventurose people. Not for average romantisized tourists.

Liked: For such money we are thibking it's good offer. Nice beaches (remember that in Kotor/Dobrota there is no sand beaches, most of them are concrete or stony), better than near the old town and Dobrota is very close to the centre of Kotor, especially to people who like walking around. Breakfast is not the most fantastic, but to start the day is fantastic idea to have some breakfast in hostel! Staff is very pleasant, usually check out is to 10.00, but we ask to leave lugagge few hours more bec our bus leave in the evening and they let us to stay in our room as long as we need. it was fajntastic and unexpected. This is student house, so if you need to very clean, calm and "own" place you shouldn't choose Spasić Masera. We were with 5-months child and we couldn't stand all conditions without problems:)

Liked: The restaurant where you can eat great food for as little as 3 euros! Breakfast is included by the way. The location is also great, near the beach and it's a nice walk along the beaches to Kotor.

Disliked: It's dirty, and I mean very dirty! Cockroaches in our room, bad sanitary facilities. There wasn't always hot water in the showers and the rooms get very hot in summer (no airconditioning).

Disliked: - far away from Kotor (30 min.walk) - staff does not speak English - dirty toilets, only cold water, (you can't close showers and toilets) - noise during night (very difficult to sleep)

Liked: Location is great! At first we were worried that it might be too far from Kotor, but actually it's an advantage. Kotor was very busy, hot and expensive so it was nice to come back to Dobrota and enjoy the view and sea in peace.

Disliked: There was no hot water in our bathroom, we had to use communal one which was less than presentable... Had few cold showers which was quite good in the hot weather :) Also: it was quite difficult to find. We were looking for it for 20 min asking people where the hostel is. No one ever heard about Spasic Masera hostel... It's known as 'dom studencki' (halls or accommodation for students).

Liked: This is a very basic hostel - but extremely good value for money and well located. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The rooms and bed linen was all clean but the showers and toilets seem to be in the process of being upgraded. Some broken windows around the hostel.

Liked: not much

Disliked: Our bedroom was a real sauna. It was so hot in there we could barely sleep. I guess it was the same with the other berooms, as many people were spending the night with their front door open because there was AC in the corridors. Plus, we had no shutters at the window, neither curtains, which means we were awake with the sun at 5 in the morning. On the first day we went to the reception to tell them, and the solution they found was to put a blanket on the window, which means no air at night. Finally, there was no curtain to the shower either, so it quickly became a swimming pool (very small one though).

Liked: This is a true hosteling experience. Nothing could have prepared me for this. Had such a great time here, but It is hardcore. Super cheap. Great staff. Good views.

Disliked: Well, It is in a massive state of disrepair. Broken windows and doors. Falling apart stairs and graffiti. But that is also it's beautiful charm... Avoid the evening meal at all cost!

Liked: There were bricks missing from the walls of toilets and room, showers didnt work and there were bird nests in the showers. Really messy place with lots of ants and stuff. Only positive thing was that room cost only 5e/person. Not so good location either.
