Liked: We booked at Idre's, but they were full the first night we arrived. Some hostels would probably just send you away, but Idre not only found us another bed in a different hotel, but he upgraded us from a dorm to an en-suite double room. This was a very nice gesture. The second night we stayed in the dorm and it was great value. I'd definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone heading to Mongolia.

Liked: The place was really homely and had good facilities on offer, making it value for money. However, users should beware if they intend to book tours through the guest house. (please see below)

Disliked: However, DO NOT trust the owner when it comes to arranging tours. He is the most unreliable and not trust worthy. Paid for a tour and was very disappointed to find that I did not see half the things that he promised when I signed up and paid for it. Also, when returning to confront him about it, his attitude was really bad.

Liked: Cheap and easy, plus Idre was really nice and frienly, and helpful! If we hadnt already organised a tour we would have done through him, he is definitely in the know, and is very honest about what to expect etc. He will spend the time with you to work out the ideal trip you want etc.

Liked: Very good choice for this hostel, the staff is very friendly and nice. They halpe me for everything, and gave me every informations i asked. Th idre tours was fantastics, three days in the desert with cheap prices! A lot of young people i meet, from all countries, all very very friendly! I hope to see you again in future, mongolia need one life, not one week!sorry for my bad english...Marco

Liked: Idre's guest house is the best hostel I used ever! The hostel itself was perfect (location, service, atmosphere, staffs, clenliness...).and also they manage many kinds of tours, and it made our Mongolian life amazing! We took four-days trip to semi-govi and Kharkhorin. It includes everything-very delicious Mongolian foods, horse and camel riding, gel stays and so on. If I come back to Mongolia again, Im sure to use this hostel again!

Liked: Cosy hostel pretty close to the train station. The staff are so friendly and helpfull. Its small enough so its easy to get chatting to people. Really handy to have the kitchen too.

Liked: This is a really great hostel, lots of different communal areas, so you can chill out in front of the tv, or chat in the kitchen. The tours that they offer into Mongolia are amazing! and i'd reccommend spending at least 7 days or more enjoying the countryside.

Liked: It's quite far from the main drag, and in a kind of dark and sketchy area for walking back at night....the walls are also paper thin, and we encountered a lot of late night noise from other guests that kept us up...

Liked: A lot of noise from outside and in the rooms you can hear absolutely everything in the halls and adjacent rooms, very far from the downtown center...only Idre himself speaks english well, so although there are many staff, its difficult to ask any questions or get assistance because there's always a line up in his office to talk to him
