Liked: The accommodation is rooms in a private house. Finding the flat was difficult at first, and the booking had not been confirmed, but the family went out of their way to provide a room. Once located, it was both easy and cheap to travel to and from the city centre. Svetlana provided information on all queries.

Disliked: The accommodation is on the 3rd floor of a block of flats with the entrance on the side away from the main road which made it difficult to find without assistance. Use a taxi - check price - the first time. Do not be put off by the rather dark communal stairs.

Liked: Friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, well served by public transport, many supermarkets close-by.

Disliked: Russian language skills are definitively an advantage, sometimes hard to make yourself understood in English - but everything worked out fine. Have to rely on locals to find the place!

Liked: The place is just as advertised, its part of a flat, not a traditional hostel. Very good however. Host is very helpful, room was clean and well made. The wifi was down, and cooking was done via host. Very accommodating, would recommend to others and will likely stay again.

Liked: This is not a hostel but a 1 bedroom apartment you share with a small family. It's far away from the city center but well served by public transport. The bedroom offered to travellers is bright, quite comfortable and at streetside. The lady is very friendly and helpful. If you want to live as many of the locals do, I would recommend Svetlana's flat above staying in a ho(s)tel.

Liked: The host was extremely cool and friendly. No curfew, do whatever you want, location is good. You have everything you need just a few minutes from the hostel, cafes, bazaars, internet cafes, maxi taxis, couldn't be better.-Kevin Christy (USA)

Liked: it's kinda far outside but that's mentioned in the description so fair enough. quite well-connected to the center with minibuses though it takes some time... nice owner and everything's clean. just note that it's not a hostel but an apartment whose owner has turned a room into a dorm, you stay with the family, cool experience though.
