Liked: Really good location for relaxing and away from the crowds and tourists. Simple tents with inflatable mattress. Take a raft on the cenote or go right across the road to the beach (quiet and remote compared to the other beaches of Tulum). Overall, one of the best places I stayed in Mexico. There is a restaurant right across the road and about 6 in walking distance so no need to bring your own food. Also bikes are available.

Disliked: Some minor points - tents are closer together than anticipated (this was not really an issue for me). Wi-fi costs 30 MXN per day. The closest mini-store is a long walk away. I tried to avoid using the toilets as much as possible (hotel across the road) because they are not really private and are dry.

Liked: i did a bunch of accommodation comparisons online for tulum beach strip places before our trip, and then we visited several places in person during our trip. this was by far our best bang for our buck. i'm very happy the way it worked out. a lot depends on whether you like "camping" though, with a fully stocked (and nice) kitchen, a sweet outdoor shower, and a well-designed composting toilet, this was hardly "roughing it". low-tech and simple, this place will appeal to you if you like the write-up on their website, which is accurate. if you resonate with the intentionality implied in the write-up, you'll vibe with this place. if it doesn't really register for you on a values level, you're probably better off at a higher end place which reflects more the consumerism that is slowly (or not-so-slowly) taking over tulum. for us, this place was ideal, and super awesome. the cenote in the back is sizable and absolutely lovely.

Disliked: the biggest issue was mosquitoes, which you'll get anytime you're not staying in a cabana directly in the wind. but in fact even here, i felt the tent situation was better than a typical cabana in the trees situation because a tent is shielded better. similarly, the kitchen (the place most spend the second-most amount of time on site) is *fairly* well-screened. in any case, bring repellant, which you need for your trip to tulum anyhow,

Liked: very cool. i would reccommend this place to anyone. it is basically luxury camping. you have your own tent with a fan, candle, and a dim light. (electricity goes off sometime in the night, i presume to save electricity. but it wasnt too hot when the fans went off). there is a communal kitchen with a stove, coolers, running water and complimentary drinking water. theres a hot salt water shower, and another out house room. its all really well set up. theres a cenote out back, and its not beautiful like some of the ones you see in the pictures, but its quite deep and clear, great for swiming in. boats are provided. its kind of far from town, but its so easy to get a cab, they are running up and down the road at all times. surprisingly enough, its located right in the tulum hotel zone, but everything is pretty tucked away, we were fine not bringing our own food, we could just walk down the road and there were some really cool places not to far down where we could eat or drink. lots of live music also. we rented bikes for 12/us each/24 hrs. and biked to tulum ruins about 10 k away. theres also access to a beautiful beach from the tent hostel property. the beach seems like it would be busy with small resorts all along it, but there was hardly anyone there when we were. so all in all, really liked it.

Disliked: a little far from town, but you get the beach access so its worth it.

Liked: Location is close to lovely prisitine beach and has an above ground cenote that you can take a boat out on and swim in. The owners are lovely people, gentle and helpful and generous with their time and treats from the kitchen. I slept well, the first night and loved the sound of the ocean and and the birdlife. Thanks again, I will return again to Tulum for sure if I have time.

Disliked: My tent was a little close to the bano and also the second night a crying baby and nearby bomfire made my sleep not as good as the first night.

Liked: The tent was in good condition and very clean. The mattress was good too (there is an electric pump in the kitchen that you can use to inflate the mattress if it loses a little air while you are there). We blew ours up when we got there and it stay firm all night. The facilities are pretty basic but definitely good. There is hot water in the shower. Purified water is provided to drink. The cenote out back is beautiful, a little turquoise lake in the mangroves. Galia was very helpful and accommodating. Nice little community

Disliked: I have no complaints, it was camping with some extra luxuries like hot showers, yoga, and a kitchen.

Liked: Right by the beach, beautiful location, get the amenities of the beach strip of Tulum without being completely ripped off.

Disliked: Rang bell 3 times & knocked, no one answered. Finally found the owner, who was nice and friendly enough. I was very sick with food poisoning and after finding out that the toilets are "dry" toilets, and that our tent didn't have a fan, I didn't think I could handle it with the sickness (as it was pretty bad). That was 5 minutes after we arrived and he did not refund us at all, even for one night (which is assured under the cancellation policy). I thought that was very rude and inconsiderate since I was so sick and we would have stayed there otherwise. Just be wary that this place is a bunch of tents, and that there isn't much privacy, and if you are sick then it probably isn't a good idea.

Liked: galia and pedro are amazing kind people with a lot of love to offer the land and the people who come there. the space is perfect for green living and a wonderful example of walking on the earth kindly and with good intention. the cenote is an experience all to itself. majic! luxury camping experience. i felt very safe as a womyn traveling alone and staying for 5 nights. you very well might feel like you are not paying enough.

Disliked: there was nothing to dislike. there were projects going on to improve the experience that made it obvious the people who are stewarding this land care deeply. i wish i had offered to do work for the sake of giving.

Liked: Lovely, spiritual tent camp with incredible energy , amazing cenote in the back and across the street from a gorgeous beach. Lots of things to do in the area (beaches, Mayan ruins, Kian Sa'an nature reserve), lots of nature. Lovely owners living a simple, environmentally friendly life. This place is great to learn how to live simply and live surrounded by nature--the wind, animals, trees, birds. It is rustic and charming and the area is really beautiful. A great value in an overprice area of boutique hotels. Save your money on accomodation, the expensive hotels share the same beach.

Disliked: Internet is slow, but this is the point---to get away from modern tecnhology and tune into nature.

Liked: free bikes, own beach just across the street, wonderful cenote just a few steps from your tent (clear water for watching fish while snorkeling), very natural and ecological surroundung, good place to stay for campers and spiritually interested people as well as eco-tourists

Disliked: it is very far away from the city as well as from the maya ruins of tulum. there are some shuttle buses to town (schedules unknown), but most likely you have to catch a taxi (100 pesos to town, 80 to the ruins), only quite expensive restaurants around

Liked: Cenote Encantado had very helpful and friendly owners and its the cheapest option right across from the beach. You walk down a small trail to get there. There is a super cheap ($1?) colectivo that heads from town at 9am and 2pm to the 'hotel zone' where all of the places to stay are, including Cenote Encantado. The outdoor shower is actually really nice, and sleeping in the tent provided us the only guaranteed mosquito-free night we have yet experienced in Mexico or Belize, and the tents are in good shape and clean. A tropical rain blew through both nights but it was really nice, as we were protected by tarps overhead with no leaks or anything, and got to listen to the sound of the rain

Disliked: jolie left no negative feedback.
