When you stay long enough in Tulum you realize that the location of Lobo Inn is perfect: you can WALK to the beach and they drive twice a day to go to the town.
Everyone is there to help you: Cynthia, Lobo, Maria...
The rooms are clean, the breakfast is amazing, the swimming pool is there, free bikes.... what else can you expect from a hostel??
I had a great time: I stayed for 20 days and had the best vacation of my life. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Staff were reallly nice and friendly. Gave free lifts to supermarket and town and the bikes were free to cycle to the beach. Apart from cabanas, the closest hostel to the best in Tulum.

This was one of the loveliest places I have stayed! Really friendly owners that threw a big bbq for all of us, and a big kitchen with a great atmosphere. Whilst I was there the owners were getting a new house built for them by a group of travelling Journeymen, I can't wait to return at some point and see it finished!

Private rooms are a lot cheaper in the city center even if you count the price of a cab to go everyday to the beach!
Too close to the main highway. A dirty pool and no more bicycles available. A bad surprise.

The german owner and his mexican wife are extremely friendly and so helpful. The bycicle are now all fixed and you can use them for free. Daily several free lifts to the supermarket by the owners. very clean and very secure. 5-10 min by bycicle to one of the most beautiful beaches of mexico. So cute double rooms, we came a second time because it was so nice

they take you to the supermarket some times during the day;
they give you free bicycles, which is good to get anywhere unless you're scared by the hot.

Good rooms,good breakfasts,great staff/hosts, only downside - many mossies & midges so come armed with DEET, also it's off the main highway so can be noisey in the front

It was a good location - walking distance from the ruins, but also a cheap ride into town. They give you bikes for just a deposit! Friendly, clean, etc.

Wonderful atmosphere in the backyard community area. Don't get shocked when you arrive. First you get the impression of a shabby highway motel but soon you will see what a lively, active place it is. Near the ruins and beach, closer than any place in the city. Staff is very nice and helpful, Lobo, the women and especially ESTEBAN

This is just about one of my most favourite hostels ever, the owners Cynthia and Lobo are fantastic and really helpful, the cooked breakfast in the morning vary and are tasty. Only 5 minutes from the ruins and 10 mins from the amazing beach. The town is quite uninteresting but if you want to go into town then its dead cheap, but most nights its better to get some booze and stay at the hostel. The owners are very liberal and only request you don't piss off the other guests. The only bad points are the bathrooms and dorms are a bit crowded. If you don't enjoy your stay there must be something wrong with you.

They had everything. Breakfast served to you in the morning, free internet, free shuttle rides to the town, pool, ping pong table, use of the kitchen and fridge, and very helpful staff. I stayed in a full dorm of 12 people but still slept well. Best hostel so far during my 2 week trip through Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize.

The best hostel i´ve ever been! Owners are SO nice and friendly, taking us to supermarket and helping with everything. AMAZING breakfast and everything just awesome, and it's walking distance to the beach, so no need for bus, and they were getting some bikes for rental..? You should really go there!
