Liked: If you want to be close to the beach and the Tulum ruins- this is the right hostel for you. But if you want to be closer to the town of Tulum, have a nice and clean bathroom, comfy beds- go to another on in downtown Tulum.

Disliked: kitchen was dirty, too ages to until the bathrooms were clean. facilities in general are old I woke up with my feed being all red- clear case of bed bugs!

Liked: I read some very negative reviews about this place before we arrived but honestly it is a good / cool hostel. Free bikes are brilliant for the beach, ruins and town. We had a double private room which was fine and cleaned daily. The kitchen is not amazing but okay. The chillout area is fine, TV, sky, music and movies. We met brilliant people and stayed 3 extra days. The breakfast was nice and a bit different each day. All the staff were friendly and most have a good level of English. I have stayed in hostels all over the world and this is a fine good stay. Nina and Gav, UK

Disliked: Nothing, it wasa great stay. we will miss the place.

Liked: Very good location, on the crossroads to the road to the ruins, some way out of tulum town, but that is better as there is no point being in the town. the free bike hire is great. breakfast is very good food

Disliked: a little bit ramshackle but fine for a couple of days very close to the ruins at tulum. the woman serving breakfast didnt seem to have any clue who had been waiting from the start and who had just turned up half an hour later. not very fair to folk who wanted to get an early start.

Liked: 15 minute bike ride to the beach

Disliked: The staff, lack of atmosphere, the crowded rooms, tiny bathrooms (I have to open the door to wipe my ass b/c of lack of toilet space), and only one sink for 24 guests in one room. No good place to get anyway from anyone else. No garden like they say in the ad. Every breakfast is 80% oil and 20% eggs.

Liked: the free bikes came in great. Towel rent is cheap. By comparison, location is good, an easy bike ride away.

Disliked: Dirty. Was never really cleaned. Always had to ask for toilet paper and soap for washroom, wich was TINY. The "two" dorm rooms, shared entrance and toilets/shower. This means 2 tiny toilets for (when full) 20 people. Smell reaks out into room. Plumping messed up and disgusting half of the time. Showers unreliable and no where to hang your things. Part of the ceiling fell in one day in the washroom and it took until next day before they cleaned it up. Kitchen is nasty and has quantity over quality. Would be fine if they threw out junk and CLEANED it. A cat killed a lizzard and leftovers were left on floor half the day. There is no inside common area, so it is outside on plastic chairs or your bed. So when it rains, not so much fun, there is nowhere to sit. You had to ask to get a topsheet for bed, and the bunkbeds had no stairs, so you have to put your feet on other persons bed to get up, or vice versa.. Poor internet connection. Some staff members were ok, but generelly lacked warmth and friendliness. The dorm that has 8 beds, some of them double beds, so sleeps 11, should not have more then 6 beds and people staying there, for the size it is. Feels like they just wanna stuff it and make money, rather then give guests a pleasent eperience. There is no other washroom then in the dorms, so this is what they call a "public washroom", meaning that people who are not even sleeping in your dorm are running in and out using it, as well as staff. (???) This hostel should re-think soooo much. Or just start.

Liked: I love this place. Tulum is a great beach, and for $10 a day you can't beat the combination of Bed, Breakfast, and a bicycle to ride during the day. The staff is great and will help you to make your stay in Tulum interesting.

Disliked: They could use a group bathroom as well as those that are provided in the rooms

Liked: Free bike rental was awesome, Located 5 minutes from the ruins and a 20 minute ride from the beach was good. The variety of tours and activities were good and organized well.

Disliked: The bathroom was terrible. 3 showers with only 1 having a shower head that sprayed water everywhere but down. Was very dirty as well. Somebody went through my luggage and stole $200, not sure if it was staff of another guest. Place does not live up to the HI standard and reputation.

Liked: Free bikes and cooked breakfast

Disliked: Òne of the worst hostels I´ve ever stayed in. The rooms were dirty and too small and cramped with no room for bage. The beds didnt have ladders to top bunks. The 16 bed mixed dorm had one toilet (the 2nd one was blocked) and one shower (the door to the 2nd shower didnt close) You could not sit on the toilet and close the door as it was too small! The woman who checked us in couldnt speak English. Although there are some lockers in the room there are not enough for everyone and the room didnt lock so the security is a problem. The location means you spend a lot on taxis if you want to leave the hostel after dark. It doesnt take a lot to make a hostel a nice experinence - a clean place with helpful staff goes a long way but Lobo didnt seem to care to make to effort.

Liked: Only the free rental bike. Nothing else.

Disliked: Unfriendly staff. Especialy the lady at reception who speaks only spanish and not a single word of English, and she doesn´t even try to understand even tried with my bad spanish. Dirty swimming pool. Dirty kitchen. The noise from street was insainly noisy and one of the staff there sleeps in dorm and snors like crazy. I was like is he doing it on purpose or what... Also on the bussiness card it says $10, but it´s actually $14.

Liked: Access to bikes was the only good thing about this hostel. It was only a 10 minute bike ride to the ruins and a 15 minute ride to the beach. If you are looking for an EXTREMELY PRIMITIVE and RUSTIC experience, this is the place for you.

Disliked: The roofs leaked. It rained the night that we were there, and water kept dripping just above our heads onto the mattress. We woke up, and the floor was one big puddle. The tap in the bathroom didn't work. We had to wash our hands in the shower. There was no seat on the toilet. They were disorganized. They mixed up our reservation and we had to downgrade our room after dark. There was nobody available to help at the reception when needed to check out in the morning. Staff was unfriendly and seemed inconvenienced by any requests. Breakfast was not ready on time. The property was dirty and run-down.
