Liked: I really like the hostel. Staff was very friendly always there to help or answer any questions.

Disliked: It is really cold there but probably it is everywhere like that in San Cristobal because the location in mountains.

Liked: Stayed in a private room and they are excellent. Beds comfy, plenty of space and bathrooms clean. Nice court yard garden and breakfast is samey but good quality. Laundry was same day in house service.

Disliked: There is a little bit of outside noise that comes in (church bells, dogs barking, rooster etc)- but it wouldn't stop you from coming here. water pressure was a little bad but hot water at any time.

Liked: A decent hostel, very nice layout. Didn't mind the cats and dog, they kinda just hung out. Generally nice staff, although there was 1 guy who spoke little English and didn't care much. Everyone else was very helpful. Me and my bf got sick while here in San Cristobal, luckily they had a lounge area where I could just lay down the day we checked out before moving on. And if you need it, you can pay 30 pesos to store your stuff and take showers etc. Location nice and close to the outdoor market.

Disliked: Rooms were a tad cold (tiled floors in a cold town!) but they gave us loads of blankets. Breakfast wasn't anything spectacular.

Liked: Great building and location right in the centre walking distance to the main square. Good kitchen and bathroom facilities too and the staff are helpful enough.

Disliked: A bit noisy bar downstairs and right on the main road so you get the traffic noise, but everything else is great and will be staying there again.

Liked: I liked the lay out and altho is was cold the beds had heaps of blankets so it wasnt to bad.

Disliked: There was no bombfire, apparently the night before there was a big one and it was awesome! missed out!

Liked: Breakfast was better than most other hostels offer in the Yucatan State.The location is good to get to the main attractions. The staff were friendly.

Disliked: The room was very cold throughout the duration of our stay. They charged us 30 pesos for baggage hold which I feel is a bit cheeky if you´ve paid to stay there previously and its only a couple of hours and we didn´t use any of their facilities in that time either. Seems a bit steep. Also, they only had two computers for public use, both of which failed to connect to Hotmail for the duration of our stay which was annoying.

Liked: I love the pets and the ace bonfire where you can meet other people in the hostel and have some fun. There are free dvds too which is nice to tuck up with when it's cold.

Disliked: I was here when it was really cold and there are no places to keep warm. I ended up wearing all my warm clothes to bed, maybe 4 layers, and sleeping under 2 blankets!

Liked: En suite in the rooms, loft bed was cool, free Internet, breakfast was pretty good.

Disliked: It was freezing! And there was no bonfire the whole time I was there.

Liked: We were stuck in San Cristobal for a couple of extra nights (5 in total) after heavy rain. Really happy to have more time at Rossco. Great place. Big private rooms, very clean, staff brilliant, friendly cats, good wifi, good breakfast. Lovely.

Liked: We stayed at Casa de Don Pablo the first night, and when we came to Rossco Backpackers it was like heaven. This hostel is really really nice. It has a very nice atmosphere and cosiness. Our room was spotless. There is a large clean kitchen, good breakfast in the morning, internet (two computers now, not too slow in our opinion). It is very safe and the people working there are really nice. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Liked: I liked that it was very clean and tidy and also that the bed was comfortable and the room spacious. I stayed in a room with private bath and the bath and toilet were pretty new and nice and clean. The breakfast was very good and the kitchen really clean. I like the garden area and the courtyard. The hostel was very quite because it was out of season so the atmosphere was a bit dull but this did not take anything away from the quality of the place I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. Maybe the internet was a bit slow and it was a shame that they don't have SKYPE but everything else was fine.

Liked: Great place for meeting people, especially for solo backpackers... great atmosphere... clean rooms... friendly and helpful staff... close to the markets... bonfire at night.

Disliked: Location is not central, but still ok.

Liked: One of my favourite hostels! Excellent kitchen facilities, good DVD collection, clean, good internet and great atmosphere. The bonfire was amazing!

Disliked: The noise!!! This was only because of a festival for the church though. Fireworks started at 6am as did the brass band that paraded the streets!

Liked: beautiful private rooms!!! the nicest hostel we¨ve stayed in so far. good breakfast (toast, marmelade, cereal, fruits...) and nice garden.

Liked: It was very easy to arrange a tour.

Disliked: The central group areas were very small and not really conducive to meeting people or talking. The entire hostel (dorm rooms, common room) were very dark and it was difficult to sit and read or anything like that. They advertise a bonfire every night but it never happened while I was there. There was only one functioning computer with internet. The staff were unhelpful and didn't respond well when asked for suggestions for restaurants etc. The tours as the same price/offerings as you can get anywhere else in the city.
