"The hostel is close to major attractions but just far enough to be in very peaceful surroundings. Staff was friendly and helpful. The property is clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable."

About Casa San Gallito Hostel

Santiago de Queretaro (official City’s name) is one of the cleanest, safest and most beautiful cities in Mexico. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the fascinating Historic Center features beautiful monuments and squares surrounded by outstanding ultra-baroque style buildings that have witnessed the steps of the most important characters of Mexico’s history. Because of its strategic position in Mexico’s geography it’s been a fundamental part of the country’s history and it’s also a great gateway for exploring central Mexico.

Our brand new rooms are located in a separate building (just one block away), featuring great design and providing a new level of privacy and comfort, but still having full access to all hostel facilities

Accommodation Information

Our mixed dorms are big and bright with super high ceilings and lots of space (no more crowded camp-style dorms). Each bed has its own reading light, night shelf and power outlet, featuring curtains for added privacy. Next to the bathroom area, there’s a comfortable common room featuring individual security lockers, dressing rooms and washbasins.

The private rooms are ideal for couples or friends looking for a little privacy but still wanting to experience the fun social atmosphere of a cool hostel. These rooms feature great design with high-quality linens and amenities. Some rooms are located in a separate building (just one block away), featuring great design and providing a new level of privacy and comfort, but still having full access to all hostel facilities

A great feature is the exclusive “Girl’s Loft”, a sophisticated female-only apartment featuring a 6 bed dorm and a private room To ensure this area remains female only, there is an exclusive entrance with an extra lock

Casa San Gallito Hostel is located near everything!! Being in the City's Historical Center heart, all the monuments, squares, gardens, parks, museums, galleries, restaurants, markets and cool shops are located within walking distance from our Casa, so you wont need to take buses or cabs to discover all the great places Queretaro has to offer. Not to mention that walking around its beautiful streets and alleys is a pleasure and the best way to know the city.
