Liked: Best place to stay in Puerto Escondito, it got all you need: a swimming pool, helpful staff, ping pong and billard table, big kitchen, and a bar with nice atmosphere. Also a good place to meet people and have a lot of fun.

Liked: Best hostel we have stayed at in mexico! Great staff, close to the best swimming beach in puerto, great cooking facilities and the cleanest hostel we have been to. We have been back twice now and will happily come back again!

Liked: Location is not close to "town" but is 15 minute walk from probably the nicest swimming beach and good set of shops with cafes and restaurants. Steve and the staff were all very nice and helpful.

Liked: The atmosphere was great, awesome common area and homely dorms.

Disliked: Location... Bit far from the main drag of Zicatela, but still close to other great beaches. Cheap taxi's anyway but still a bit of a hassle.

Liked: Great fun hanging out by the pool, meeting lots of people in a chilled out atmosphere. Pool table is good. Table tennis table is a bit average but playable. Kitchen is good. Have stayed in quite a few different rooms here and some are way better than others. If you don't like your room they will try change it for you. Nearly always beer in the fridge you can buy cheaply.

Disliked: It's a bit far from the beaches but cabs go past all the time and cost only a buck or two. Got drunk one night and left my Ipod in the common area where we were playing pool and listening to music. It got nicked which was very silly on my part for leaving it there, but still puts a bad taste in your mouth.

Liked: AMAZING hostel! Really big rooms, gorgeous swimming pool, excellent communal areas (big clean kitchen, sofas, hammocks, and a full beer fridge). Great staff, near a lovely beach and all at great prices. Would reccomend this hostel to anyone, a great place to meet people.

Liked: This place is awesome for meeting people. Plenty of atmosphere and common areas to relax. The pool is a great place to hang out and the hammocks are perfect for laying around and reading a book. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The bungalow we stayed in was huge

Liked: The host was very friendly and gave a lot of tips of what to do on town. The facilities included enough entertainment if you were not in the mood for going out the hostel.

Disliked: not enough parking lot but it doesn't really matter if you go by foot.

Liked: The good atmosphere and willingness to help. Rooms were spacious. Pool table, darts board and swimming pool all good features.

Liked: The hostel has a really nice open air area with a swimming pool, table tennis and a pool table. The kitchen was pretty clean and well-equipped. The staff and the owner are very friendly. A supermarket is in walking distance (breakfast not included!). The only swimming beach of the town is 20 walking minutes away. A bar with cheap beer and cocktails is supposed to be open at night. They offered excursions.

Disliked: The location is not perfect, if you want to go to the city center or to the bus terminal.

Liked: Good atmosphere with a bar just at the swimming pool (which I absolutely loved). On our last day, we had to check out at 11AM but our coach to the next place was due 7.30PM and it was raining the whole day. So the staff let us stay at the hostel and use everything, even showed us a bathroom we could use after being checked out of our room. The room had a TV, fridge and everything.

Disliked: Well first of all, it really does look like in the pictures, and the rooms are extremely spacious, I´ve never been to a hostel room this big. But what you don´t see in the pictures is the way the room stinks. I mean, it´s really smelly, I could feel that room from my clothes for nearly a week after:) Also there were cockroaches. Still the cleaning lady did come every day and changed towels and everything, it´s not to say the hostel was dirty. Another disadvantage is the location. It´s like miles away from everything, especially the beaches. But as taxis are so cheap in Puerto, it´s actually like using public transport, so never mind. There´s no breakfast and just one computer at the reception if you´re really desperate for internet (but we prefered an internet cafe in Puerto).

Liked: Owners and workers are cool. Had a nice bar where daz sells cheap beers and rum punch! Good pool, pool table, table tennis and wifi!! All you can ask for. Cheapest hostel in PE too great place

Liked: Great set up, self contained room with fridge full of beers by the pool was awesome. Very relaxing!

Disliked: No breakfast, but close to big supermarket so all good.
