Gundi y Tomas is an oasis on the hill in the sleepy center of Puerto Angel set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings overlooking the sea.

It has its own restaurant offerring different kinds of breakfasts, Mexican specialties and international cuisine in the evening, along with home-baked bread and snacks for those small hungers any time of the day.

Our staff are warm and friendly and speak German, English, French, and Spanish and our services and facilities include a laundry service, library and book exchange, email and internet access and a tours desk.

Accommodation Information

We offer rooms in three different houses and a bungalow, built and decorated in the Mexican style, and adapted to the landscape.

We offer a total of 14 large rooms, all equipped with mosquito nets and fans, and private or shared bath.

You can select between single and double rooms, or rooms with three or four beds. We also have 5 double bedrooms a two-minute walk from the main house in "the Almendro", situated in a shady, tropical garden.

Location Information

In the nearby surroundings of Puerto Angel, you'll find relaxing, sandy beaches bordered with lush palm trees. The village beach is a good place to spend quiet days just relaxing and tanning, or you can arrange interesting trips to the hilly hinterland to view tropical fauna and flora.

Those who would like to experience the larger international-style beach resorts for a day can take side-trips to Puerto Escondido (75 km) or Huatulco (45 km), before returning to the idyllic setting of Puerto Angel in the evening.

Pochutla (13 km away) is the commercial center of this coastal region, where you'll find banks, large supermarkets and a typically Mexican Monday market.
