Liked: We liked this place really, nice clean hostel, really good owners, speaks little English, so that helps, Security is high, your belongings will be safe. Staff is helping with maps, explaining anything you ask, and if you want to book the trip, ask them directly, its cheaper, than going other place. Everything is close, markets like 2 minutes, and Zocalo 5-7min away. For money we paid we where more than happy to stay here. If we will come to Oaxaca more, we gona stay here again.

Liked: Gorgeous mixed dorm with lovely beds, great value for money on that front; lovely owners and if you like cats there's a very friendly one always bumbling about!

Liked: The owner of the hostal is VERY nice. I arrived at 22:00 and he immediately explained me where to go (during the day, as well as during the night) and gave me a map. When I asked about tours to Monte Alban he offered to do a reservation for me. The tour actually started on the other side of the street, just opposite the hostal. I was the only person in a 8 bed (beds, not bunks) room so I had a lot of space and it was very silent during the night :-). There were no mosquitos and the city center (Zocalo, Cathedral) is just a 5-10 minutes walk away. I felt very safe in this city.

Disliked: There is no internet and no breakfast (but that was stated on the website and the market is very close so you can get breakfast there). As I was alone in the room, I did not meet other people.

Liked: We loved this hostel, it was very close to the centre of town, the hostel is more like a hotel rooms cleaned everyday ( private room) lovely terrace overlooking Oaxaca, the staff are very friendly. We Gage had the best nights sleep at this hostel than any other in mexico Showers are great kitchen although small is very equipped Very much enjoyed our stay here couldn't recommend it any higher

Disliked: We dis not dislike anything however if you are after a party hostel this is not for you

Liked: Nice room, big separate beds and very kind and helpful staff. Good value for money, rooms are spotlessly clean.

Disliked: None, perhaps an opportunity to have breakfast in the hotel.

Liked: Owners Emilio and Marta are friendly and speak pretty good english which is helpful if you dont speak spanish. beds comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms very clean and nice and cleaned each day. provide good information about Oaxaca and can organise tours and/or transport to monte alban.

Disliked: Water was not really hot and was quite temperamental, it kept going warm the cold again when paying that much per night you expect hot water. It also didn't seem right to have to pay for baggage storage longer than 3 hours at that price for the room. wifi is available however we couldnt get it in our room so just sat on the sofa in the hall to use it.

Liked: The owners of the hostel are so friendly and helpful. Great recommendations on where to go for a drink and where to eat. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned everyday and it is in a superb location.Highly recommend!

Liked: The owners are very kind persons and very very helpfull, the dorms are clean and cleaned everyday which is not usual for dormitories!! The location is very near the Zocalo and pretty safe. Best Hostel I've been so far!

Liked: Don Quijote Hostel is really a great hostel The owners were very careful, friendly en helpful. The hostel was also very clean and i sleep like an angel on the dorm beds. I recommend this hostel for everyone staying in Oaxaca!

Liked: It was just GREAT. The place is exactly as they show in the pictures. no bad surprise at all. The owner very friendly and helpfull. you can use your laptop for free, in case you have :)

Liked: This is a sort of family run hostel and is really friendly - the owners went out of their way to help us and make us feel at home. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and a great place to spend a couple of hours looking out at the city. Double beds in the dorms was a great addition too!

Liked: the owners are super helpful, funny, and spoke a fair amount of english. the location is super convenient to the AU bus terminal though a bit away from the center of town. room was cleaned every day and fresh towels and linens every 2nd day.

Liked: The staff here is so nice and helpful. Its run by a couple, and although they only speak little english they really try. You just feel so welcome here, and the place is spotless. 5 mins from the zocalo, its safe and quiet. Not the best party hostel, but if you can look past that this is definetly the place to stay in oaxaca.
